Practice #11 Monday Morning and Practice #12 Monday evening

Sarcasm??

Not at all.

I look for Peterman to be named starter. If it's Worley, so be it. I don't have a dog in the fight to be honest with you.

With that said, at least Peterman has shown improvement and is working his ass off for a chance to redeem himself. The same can't be said about Worley or Dobbs.

Maybe they're working hard - I don't know. But I do know they haven't improved.

He's practicing and playing much better than those two at the moment. If all was even going in (and it should have been) then Peterman gets the nod as of now.

You don't think both Worley and Dobbs have been working their asses off too? And you have no earthly idea whether they've improved or not. Are you in the meetings rooms? In the film room? On the practice field? None of us do.

Last year Peterman was performing well in practice and looked like the best QB at the open practice. And then when he made his only start and the team, with him under center, advanced the ball 1 yard every 6 plays with 4 turnovers. If you don't think that that performance isn't firmly in the back of Butch's mind and that he's only looking at the last week of practice as he makes his decision on a starter this week then I don't know what to tell you.

IMHO, Butch will go with the more consistent, more mature, more poised proven commodity who was under center last year in the 2 games (Georgia & SCar) that made him look like he perhaps knows what he's doing .... it'll be Worley.

Did you not read my entire post?

I take what I read, what little I see, and other factors and then I form my opinion.

I still think it's Peterman.

i agree

It seems Worley has hit his ceiling as far as getting better. I could be wrong but after looking at clips and listening to others, it seems so. I would rather watch peterman start rough and improve through the season than watch Worley hand the ball off every time on the read option, throw short outs, comebacks and screens, and under throwing the deeper passes. With the running game getting better we need a deep threat. Worley doesn't have the arm strength. But what do I know, I work at a ****e plant.

I particularly enjoyed watching the defensive back drills. I'm no expert but overall foot speed and technique looks much improved compared to what I've been witnessing the past few seasons.

Not to be a naysayer, but that's the drill I thought looked the worst. I didn't see very fast back-pedaling or quick change in direction. But I'm no DB coach or anything just hope they are fast on the field!

Who are YOU to judge me with NO KNOWLEDGE of my military history? I'm merely pointing out that an 18 year old should be mentally tough enough to catch a f#ing football without some apologist using homesickness and age as an excuse for lack of effort.

BTW,I was only one of the nearly 1.2 million young men and women who served in Vietnam. I was certainly no hero and freely admitted to being scared sh!tless. If you read me proclaiming myself to be a Rambo, I'm sure there is a Sylvan learning center near you that helps A'holes with their reading comprehension.

Who are you to judge Malone? Like you said, you were a nobody, no one cared about you. He's got the entire state of TN breathing down his back, expecting him to be the next Megatron. Yall both was obviously under intense amounts of pressure. In my opinion you're the only "A'hole" in this thread thus far.

A little late to this thread, but...

Does it mean anything that Peterman was the only QB to work on "running drills"? Would kinda think Dobbs would be there as well, seeing as everybody here labels him as the best runner we have at the QB position.

Yes, I read it...

I served too but you have to recognize you didn't serve with enormous weight on your shoulders and a press crew following your every move.

"Will OldFart be the next General Patton? Here's a list of 5 current draftees that are most likely to be a General by the time they retire" - article by TrenchReport

"OldFart looked slow in that bayonet drill. Does he even want to serve his country? I'm 42 and too old to serve. I'd kill for the chance to serve in Vietnam" - some random idiot online

"OldFart can't hit a simulated moving target from prone at 100m with an M-16? I could do that in my sleep with a Springfield 1903" - some keyboard warrior

You didn't have that. I didn't have that. The situations are different even between you and I... much less you/me and Malone.

Though Malone doesn't have to worry about getting shot at, he does have a completely different kind of pressure on him.

I get what you are saying and it is certainly a lot of pressure at that age (or any age) as we can see by hte recent sad demise of Robin Williams - but lets not seriously compare it to "will I survive the next few minutes" or "will this kid who walks up to me plant a bomb". I would definitely take football pressure over bullets any day.

Oh. My. God. Can we please move on from this subject? How about you guys join a group chat? Mmmmkay?

So, who thinks Worley starts but we see Peterman in some running situations?

I think we see it. He did get practice in running drills today as well.

I hope they have some tricks up their sleeves, whatever they may be. Jones said something like, "everybody knows their role". I sure hope so.

"Most of the things they grade...we never see"
So, guess starting with 1's sometimes or the 2's sometimes during limited media coverage during camp doesn't hold as much water like a lot of posters always have claimed....just say'n.

No... I'd say that's about the ONLY thing we see that carries much weight. I guess it would be quite a revolutionary coaching tactic to give one guy most of the starter's reps then start the guy that runs mostly with the 2's... If that's the case then I can't wait to see how it turns out.

I had no intention of hi jacking this thread or making it about me. I do not bash our players, coaches or team. Just look at my post history.

I was merely trying to point out that Malone should be mature enough, at 18, to handle the pressure of a practice and CATCH A FOOTBALL.

Since these posts he has apparently stepped up his game and is doing much better according to CBJ.

Sorry if I offended anyone with my clumsy attempt . ( Especially the A'hole who called me Rambo). Sorry Volly, report me again if you must but after being mocked and ridiculed for decades that is one scab you don't want to pull off.

All is good. GBO.
