Willis was at least 3 or 4 years before Chris Donald. Ole Miss was the only decent offer he had, so Fulmer was hardly the only one that missed on him.

Yep, sorry, I had him confused with Daniel Brooks. Another top rated, in-state bust for Fulmer.

But keep in mind that Willis paid his own way to UT numerous times for camps, etc. to show the coaches he was serious. They had plenty of opportunity to see his potential.
I guess CBJ working his tail off to find guys like Moseley and Swafford shouldn't be expected of Fulmer. Fulmer got lazy and 2003 is about the time the wheels came off.
