They had 9 months to get ready. I'd suggest playing anyone that they think can help them freshmen or not. Decide on a starting 5 Oline. Play another QB some to see if you have anything there. We've seen this one for 3 years now and it's not getting much better i don't think.

Most forget Fulmer stating during last years spring game that it would take 4 to 5 years for UT to be back... As much as I wanted to not believe.. He may be correct.. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is.. But you will never hear me call the players "garbage" or "trash".. I'm disappointed, and I love the Vols.. I agree with your comments about coming out flat.. I'm back to the less optimistic and in the wait and see mode unfortunately.. But Fulmer did say it will take several years.. I chose not to listen..

Yeah, but did he mean 4-5 years before we could beat a 2-10 team?

Sorry, I got carried away. Yes there is some worry with CJP, and staff, but I still wonder about the rest. Staff arent the ones executing on the field.

Then the staff isn’t coaching them to execute the game plan they set or isn’t setting them up for success.

Let me put it this way, if you had the same players and put Saban on your sidelines, they players would play the same?

Wait so Pruitt and the coaching staff are actually going to show some energy like they want to fire up the team?

Most of you keep talking about the lack of depth, Butch's players, etc.

Did anyone see what I saw? There were no adjustments at half. The same plays were called. Our staff did not put players in a position to stop the 2 or 3 plays that were killing us.

We should have beaten that team with the talent we have. This one is on the coaching staff for crazy substitution patterns and lack of adjustment, period.

Practice should have started a Long time ago. Game planning should have started a long time ago. Lose to Ga. St and all of a sudden practice will be more intense...lol. Expect a BYU team seeing a great opportunity to smack the Vols a little more in the mouth. Keep continuity on the offense line and quit switching them around. Give JG 2 series to see if he cam produce. If not bench and play for the future with our freshman QB’s.

Ok.

Why didn’t they recognize this issue and have them practicing harder all off season?

I’m sure there’s some retired Navy Seal instructors that would love a gig with a major college football program. Spring practice next year needs to being nothing other than constant Hell Week conditioning. Make em ring that bell.

With some of the losers on this team, I'm not so sure any amount of practice will make much difference in how they play, many of the players acted like they didn't even want to be on the field Saturday, no amount of practice will fix this

Did Tennessee ever call a time out? I don't remember any. The coaching reminds me of Dooley where everything is falling apart and they are so shell shocked they cant even call a time out to stop an opponents drive or to get 11 damn people on the field.

This week at practice they will crank the Benny Hill music all the way instead of leaving it at just level 5.

Seems like when Fulmer hired Dave Clawson the offensive scheme called for all the Olinemen to learn every position to be able to move players as needed. Someone remind me; how did that work out?

I see comments like this from Fulmer is a bit of CYA (Cover Your A--). I think someone as experienced as Coach Fulmer saw some of the flashing caution signs from Pruitt's performance in Year 1 and was trying to minimize expectations to give Pruitt time to grow into a SEC HC.....

Maybe, maybe not. I would think Saban would've had some riding the bench too.

I wonder where all the people are now who criticized me for saying we had a 3-9 floor earlier this offseason?
What 3 wins do you see now? I’m struggling to find one. Everyone keeps saying UTC is our gimme but they would hang 40 on GA St.
