Pre Dead Period ending Final Mock

I would say we might be thin at LB in your mock (Sapp would be nice, but he probably has moved on as mentioned). Another OL pick up would be nice. Is there any, any chance we pick up Richmond? If so, what percent. Just curious- I try to keep up with the recruiting forum, but I am sure someone can help with the question. Thanks

I agree which is why I have him in my Mock.

Just more proof there isn't a lot of room left for another WR.

I think it is Love or Newsome and I think the staff likes where we are on our roster better at WR than RB and pushes for Love.

They can rack up at WR in 2016.

With the TEs on our roster I would rather see another WR (newsome) than a TE but that's me. You don't pass on elite talent just so you can fill in a gap.

Great thread Eric, thanks!

I understand the part about having 3 spots available but who are the 5 left on the board? I see Jones, Love and Allen listed as possibles who are not committed but who are the other two? Sapp and Newsome? Thanks again for putting this together.

Newsome and St Louis would be my guesses. I think Sapp may have missed the boat.

Edit:
Interesting to see how the Boulware situation develops. Did they encourage him to take that visit? Did he choose to take that visit and possibly put his spot in jeopardy? If he does leave on his own or at the encouragement of the staff would we push to take two more Oline or be content with Allen or St Louis OR possibly pull in another position?

Marques Ford and Micah Abernathy are currently both 3 stars on Rivals. Do you anticipate them being elevated to 4 stars? Both are the highest rated 3 star for their position and I know there was some discussion after the UA game of both getting a bump. Just curious if you know something more definite. Would be great to see.

You are so right about the Boulware situation. That might be one of the more interesting stories to play out. I would sure like for Allen and St. Louis to be part of this class. We have a critical need for OTs.

My question is about the "blue-shirt" option. Am I right that they come in the fall as walk-ons, received schollys, and count towards the 2016 class? And they can not have taken OVs? Have the speciality guys, Townsend and Lovingwood, taken OVs? Is it possible that both could blue-shirt?

Yes they are both going to be in the discussion for a 4th star in two weeks on Rivals. I feel more confident in Ford getting his, but think there is a good shot they both could get the .1 bump.

I would say that Boulware is gone based off of his comments lately. It is generally not a good sign this late in the game. I could be wrong but I think we are just about done with maybe a late commit or two.

YOu have it right.

I believe it is most likely that in state kids would blue/gray shirt the most. They can get the hope scholarship or other creative ways to help with the summer tuition while they are in camp.

I really think Lovingwood and Bruce are locks. They will sign Financial Agreements on Signing day and not LOI's but you may not even know it happened.

There is talk on VQ that Oliver and TN have decided to part ways (random poster) so that could be a spot for Newsome or Sapp.

IMO Newsome and Jones are the remaining likely commits. Pat Allen is likely staying with Georgia after postponing his announcement and I could be wrong but I doubt they take another rb in Love.

RDAIV is a return man, so that likely will be a key role for him here. Cam Sutton doesn't need to be back there fair catching the ball, so it will be good to have more options.

Doubt that we encouraged Boulware to look around, but I'm sure the coaches aren't thrilled with his recent comments about OSU. They're a trendy team after beating Bama, and Boulware was once a lean. Not sure we'll push hard to keep him if he continues to waver.

I feel pretty good about this prediction. PFort said we have about 5 players left on our board for 3 spots left.

That means we are going to SIGN (not counting GS/BS)28 and that is the number I'll use here. (Projected final Rivals Rankings)

Bold means enrolled - Italicized means committed - Blue means Blue Shirt/Grey Shirt

1. QB - Jauan Jennings - 4*
2. QB - Quinten Dormandy - 4*
3. QB - Sherrion Jones - 4*
4. RB - Alvin Kamara - 5*
5. RB - Kendall Bussey - - 4*
6. RB - Bryce Love - 4*
7. WR - Preston Williams - 4*
8. WR - Vincent Perry - 3*
9. RB/WR - Joc Bruce - 3*
10. TE - Kyle Oliver - 3*
11. OT - Jack Jones - 4*
12. OT - Pat Allen - 4*
13. OT - Chance Hall - 3*
14. OG - Zach Stewart - 4*
15. OG - Venzell Boulware - 4*
16. LS - Riley Lovingwood - 2*
17. DE - Kyle Phillips - 4*
18. DE - Andrew Butcher - 4*
19. DE - Darrell Taylor - 4*
20. DE - Marques Ford - 4*
21. DT - Kahlil McKenzie - 5*
22. DT - Shy Tuttle - 4*
23. DT - Quay Picou - 3*
24. LB - Darrin Kirkland Jr - 4*
25. LB - Austin Smith - 3*
26. CB - Justin Martin - 4*
27. CB - Micah Abernathy - 4*
28. CB - Darrell Miller - 3*
29. S - Stephen Griffin - 3*
30. P - Tommy Townsend - 3*

2 - 5*'s
18- 4*'s
9 - 3*'s
1 - 2*

Finish 4th in the country

If anyone decommits the first to be added would be 4* LB-Quart'e Sapp, just not seeing anyone likely to leave at this point anymore.

Looks as good or perhaps better than last years

Why decommit from UGA then? Allen was already heavily on the fence regarding whether he would go to UGA or not. That was before Bobo and Friend left UGA.

There is no one left to cut.

Perry isn't getting cut because he was part of the deal with Phillips, IMO.

Bruce isn't going to count against the number anyway.

Doubt they cut Bussey but I guess that is possible. Maybe decide not to take a TE?

Just not a lot of options left.

Not a chance they cut Bussey imo. He was a huge get and fills a tremendous need.

Honestly I expect a few of our current commits not to sign with us. No one in particular necessarily, but last year we had some commits at this time of year who didn't sign with us. Unexpected stuff happens.

We have a TE that's coming in... "Baby Wolf" he's walking the Green Mile.:clapping:

Eli Wolf is a big get as a preferred walk-on, let's see here:

6'4 (HUDL)
210lbs (HUDL)
4.57 40 yard dash (HUDL)
11.4 100m dash (HUDL)

Senior Stats:

Couldn't find where I read them, but he went for I believe 1400 yards receiving and caught 18 touchdown passed and was selected first team all-state in Ohio, and he was on the track team.

All-in-all, a huge get for the TE position in my opinion.
