Off topic, how long has it been since youve followed recruitinf, that we've gone this long without some tangible, bona fide tidbit of actual real recruiting info? seriously. its almost like a dead period.

My guess is we finish weak this year. Lose Brown along with the already lost Kongbo. Finish outside the top 20. Also expect another negative surprise on signing day.

Keep hearing quite the opposite based off the one insider I trust on here..we finish with Warrior, Byrd,Brown or Daniels,Kongbo,50/50 on Dickerson and Bailey. Will be our best finish in a long time..

I'm not going to worry about it until signing day, but I did the numbers yesterday and we'll be fortunate to finish in the Top 15. More likely around 18-20 on 247. Rivals 13-15.

We should end top 10-12 at the very least with how well we are going to finish.

I say we close with Warrior, Kongbo, and fall back plan for Brown or Dickerson. It's hard to turn a guy like Byrd this late in the game especially a guy from the state of Florida that is not a state school imo. I think it may just be a little too late on him. I don't think anybody has a clue as to what Brown will do so I will believe it the day he signs.

If I worked at 247 I would have one simple rule with this class: When in doubt, CB them to Ole Miss.

It's so obvious that their wonder class from a few years ago fell short, so the boosters are back to work

That's 21. If Larry is correct, and we can only take 20, I see Pope being the one to go somewhere else. Even though he is the local kid, we are pretty set at TE. Buchanan may not have a spot if Byrd wants in.

GFW is predicting a strong finish and I could see Byrd, Warrior, Dickerson, and Brown being a VERY strong finish.

What say you, VN? Just a few days away, how do we close?

That looks like a pretty decent chance at those recruits. However, this won't get us into the top 10 recruiting classes I don't believe. This would be the 1st time in 4 years(Butch Jones classes) if we don't finish in the top 10. We are 20th right now from 247 sports I believe. Rivals has us as the 18th class. Scout has us at #22.

Hopefully we can pull off a few unexpected signees come NSD. We are at 17 signed/committed right now so we certainly have a few left to sign on that dotted line.

Let's hope we can get Derrick Brown(DT) & Jeffery Simmons(DE) to commit because they're both top 10. Most of the other 5 star recruits on our radar have already signed elsewhere except for Nigel Warrior(S) & Mecole Hardman Jr.(ATH).

If we can get at least 1-2 of these guys then that will bump up our class quite a bit. Maybe not top 10 but certainly close. Heck, we get them all & we definitely increase to the top 10 class & probably top 5. That's why I love NSD! It's not far off either. GO VOLS!

BTW, if not for 4 star recruit Marquez Callaway(WR,S) committing recently we would not even be in the top 25 classes as of right now.

That's my guess too...Dickerson looks to be going to FSU, Brown to Aub, and Daniels to Texas..should be a top 20 class..remember some teams below us will move up because they are in on more guys and have fewer recruits.

One of Bailey or Williams is a possible take on NSD if we have a spot and either one waits. IMO, Bailey commits to VT with his brother if we don't take his commitment after this weekend. Williams could go to FSU or back to Miami, if their class doesn't fill.

I predict we finish with the #15th recruiting class! LOL! I had to do that because we are now ranked #15 after some nice signees today.

I was hoping to get in the top 10 but oh well. Didn't work out as well on NSD this year as it did in 2014 & 2015 for Butch.
