Seriously,if we only win 4 games every coach should be fired. I could coach 4 wins.

I was expecting common sense.

And by your standards common sense would equal us winning just 5 games while in someone else's mind it would be us winning 7 games.

On something as uncertain as predicting a football season you can't really define "common sense."

Ok,the Vols will go 10-2. Feel better?

I'm not a ridiculous sunshine pumper... I would be shocked if we were any better than 7-5... But we are talented enough that it shouldn't be way too difficult to at least make a bowl, and maybe beat a team we shouldn't along the way.

If dave Heart maked the smart hire and brought on Joe Lee Dunn, we'd be looking at 8 or with luck 9 wins.

With the new staffe with Butch i think 4 will be tough. 5 will take a good bit of Luck.

i am looking for progress. Something to believe in. Not wait two - three more recruiting classes. I am looking for someone to be able to develop those who we have. Adopt a game plan against an opposition that is doable and flexible. And execute with a passion, ferocity and vision that I can believe in. And if we lose the game, at least we know we were in the fight. Yeah, Satan didn't win his first year at Bama. But he was also building a process as Butch is. Let's see this process start to end this year.

What exactly makes you think getting to four wins will be "tough"?

These teams are beatable. Anything over 8 wins is a miracle season and Butch wins Coach of the Year. 8-4 is not out of the question, and should be a good reach goal for this team. 7-5 is the most likely outcome, and 6-6, while disappointing, is still better than last season, and will have us bowling. We go 5-7 and i'll be disappointed, but after the past few years i'm used to it and will have adopted an Ole Miss "who cares how bad our team is lets party" attitude. I really don't see how we lose more than 7 games with our schedule and team, but that seems to be the opinion of most other fans on the SECrant. Uneducated buffoons. They don't get it.

You never know, we only lost to UGA and USCe by one score last season, and that was with Dooley. College Football is crazy, and that's why no one has come up with a formula that can predict wins and losses, and that's why we watch the games. The only thing that stays the same is the team I root for. GBO.

Well, I guess the 5-7 prediction punks are at it again. Come November, the same negative punks will say "I knew we would pull off 7-8 wins"

I hate to be that guy, but those "5-7 prediction punks" have been correct the past two seasons...

and we've had 2 coaches since we won 7 games, and we haven't won 8 games since 2007...
