Prediction for 2013

I understand being a realist and not drinking the Kool aid. I see us around 6-6 add a win or loss.
I think bUTches recruiting is great so far! (The staff knows who the DL of class will be or pretty much who it is) so I just like most of volnation is excited! bUTch is actually producing on the recruiting trail and before hes coached a game.

Everybody has a prediction but I don't see the purpose of starting a thread just to tell how bad you think UT will do. Smh

I believe this team can go 8-4 with a little luck and no injuries.

We are due a season where all the breaks go our way.

7-5 or 8-4. 7-5 is beating everyone we should IMO, AP,WKU, USA, Auburn, Mizzou, Vandy, and Kentucky. 8-4 If we pull a upset

So you think we should beat Barn and Vandy? Personally I think they are toss ups.

I can't believe some think the Vols will go 5-7. I'm assuming the wins would be APSU, WKU, SOAL, Mizzou, and UK? There's no reason to believe this team can't win at least 7 with wins over all the above, Auburn, and Vandy...possibly an upset against South Carolina or UGA since they're at the great Neyland Stadium. While I believe it could be a rough start (e.g. not an overwhelming win against WKU 28-16), this team, especially Worley, will surprise many as the season goes on. GBO!

I see us going 6-6 at worst and 7-5 at best. The only way we go 5-7 is if we get killed by the injury bug.

The Vols will go 5-7 this year, and that's if they beat Missouri.

Well, that takes care of the season....If this guy says it's so, it must be that way!!!! Thank you very much, Mr. Pessimistic Psychic.....

There is a difference between realistic and pessimistic. That's a very realistic prediction.

Personally, I think we've gotten used to wondering if we can beat teams like Vandy and Missouri. How sad is that? We are Tennessee. I think with a staff that knows how to coach, this team should have no problem with Auburn, which also has a first year coach (ours is better), Missouri (Dooley almost beat this team, I don't care if James Franklin was hurt) or Vandy (come on, it's Vandy).

We should also have at least a chance of beating SC, GA or Florida. The only for sure losses to me are Oregon and Bama.

Austin Peay - W
Western Kentucky - W
Oregon - L
Florida - W
South Alabama - W
Georgia - L
South Carolina - W
Alabama - L
Mizzou - W
Auburn - W
Vandy - W
Kentucky - W

9-3 with a CHANCE to even play in SEC C-ship game, depending on how the rest of the SEC shakes out. With those wins and losses, we could back into it like in 07. I'll say we head to the outback bowl and play Michigan or Michigan State.

Butch is SEC coach of the year.

Seven or 8 wins in the regular seasons.

Vandy, UK, Mizzou, USoA, APSU, WKU- should be wins. UT has more talent.

Others ranked in order of beatability (my opinion): Auburn, USCe, UGA, Ore, UF, Bama. Any of the first 5 though are decent candidates for an upset IMO with the first 4 being pretty close to equal.

BTW, there is a big coaching element here. Spurrier has been unable to repeat the fun and gun at USCe so he's learned to manage games. He is winning alot of games by less than 10 pts. He handles teams differently just to get the win. One week he may try to slow the game down. The next week he may try to speed it up.

Jones will have to do some of that to maximize this team. This WILL BE a huge test of his ability as a coach. He has the talent to get him close enough to outcoach everyone on this schedule except for Saban.
