I'm going to say 4-5. Mizzou, UK, Auburn, and 1-2 of Vandy, UF, and SC.
Despite our terrible D this year, we still had the Outback and Capitol One Bowl winners (SC and UGA respectively) and the Sugar Bowl contenders (UF) on the ropes; We'll be a better team next year despite losing the Big 3, and the aforementioned teams are losing a lot of talent on either offense or defense, or both.
The glass is half empty for way too many of you... I understand you may not want to set yourself up for another let down and neither do I; however, looking at things realistically, we at the very least have a chance to win some key games... I don't think it's very supportive to go ahead and chalk up every game against a team with a little bit of talent as a loss. Might as well say we'll lose to Western Kentucky too, while you're at it.

I was consulting my Magic 8 Ball and there should be 10 (TEN) SEC wins next year. That seemed like a stretch so my Ouija board was consulted and it confirmed the results:
8 regular season
1 vs TAMU in the SEC championship game
1 vs LSU in the BCS NC game
I think if we had any coaching competence on the defensive side of the ball at all last season we would have looked a lot different. I think we could have knocked off probably two of UF/USCe/UGA/MSU, handled Mizzou, and with a little more momentum, beaten Vanderbilt. I don't think this next season is as glum as everyone is making it out to be, because it feels like we have some coaches now.
With that said, anyone predicting four wins is an idiot, especially considering the last staff (or any staff in UT history) never had an 8-game losing season.
They're predicting total conference wins this season...UT only plays 8 conference games.
They're saying here UT only wins 4 of those 8 conference games, not that UT only wins 4 games overall.
