Prediction for SEC Wins in 2013

9-4

We beat KY, Auburn, MO, 3 Non-Conference patsy teams.
We lose Al, FL
Toss up SC, GA, Vandy, Oregon (chance for an upset here).
We win Bowl game

Am I optimistic?...Somewhat. I think we take Georgia, they are losing a lot of talent on both sides of the ball. Vandy brings back a bad-arse team less a great RB. But we can now match them in coaching and we have home field. One more year of Clowney but Tiny can hold his own. Ducks probably lose coach and a lot of Junior level talent. Plus they don't respect us.

Everyone is expecting us to lose to Vandy right now, but I think by the time that game comes around next season we'll be favored. Yes, they kicked our tails last year, but it was at a point in the season where the entire team and coaching staff were deflated and had lost faith.

I see us beating Austin Peay, WKU, South Alabama, Kentucky, Missouri, and Vanderbilt next season. Hopefully we'll get a bowl game and Butch can mop up.

I am seriously concerned about that western KY game! Great coach + it comes right after Oregon and before Florida! Tennessee should win I'm just don't like where it falls.

WKU is our 2nd game of the season, after Austin Peay. That being said, I see them giving us hell, but the Vols pulling it out in the end.

I think UT wins over Vandy, Ky, Mizzu, should beat Auburn and if bUTch is the motivator and has the players buying in to his program we will get an upset.

Since I didn't say a number earlier, I'll go with an optimistic 5, because I believe Jones is streets ahead of Dooley.

UK
Vandy
Auburn
Missouri
USCe

8 wins on the year, Outback or Gator bid.

Sept. 21 at Florida L. But, if they could pull off a "W," VN would have CBJ canonized.
Oct. 5 Georgia L - but home field? You never know. UGa tends to not show up at times.
Oct. 19 South Carolina L - But again. Maybe we get lucky
Oct. 26 at Alabama L - Reality check for CBJ
Nov. 2 at Missouri W - At least I hope so. It's only 100 miles from the house and we'll be there.
Nov. 9 Auburn W - Home field will help.
Nov. 23 Vanderbilt W - I can not accept otherwise. Losing to VU is one thing. Predicting it is altogether another.
Nov. 30 at Kentucky W - They are still Kentucky.

So, that's four. It's sad that my predictions would be considered optimistic. We could EASILY drop a couple of those, but maybe we'll catch a break a steal one we shouldn't.

We HAVE to beat Mizzou. I took a lot of crap this past year. My own freaking son is a Mizzou fan. I don't want to have to deal with the argument with the wife about leaving his a$$ is the parking lot in Columbia should we lose that game.

Vandy is going to be 5-5 when we play them next year. It won't be an upset.

I looked at Vandy's schedule. It's more likely they'll be 6-4 or 7-3 and we'll be needing to beat them and UK to get a bowl. I'm pretty sure we'll be an underdog.

Based on the most of the predictions, it appears most of volnation agrees that dooley is not leaving a team full of talent behind

We lose a lot on D but not much on O at all. Murray's one of the few upper-classmen. Assuming that everyone on D who might go pro does, we'll have some positions to fill. We have the talent but they'll have to mature quickly. We should score lots of points next season.

That was kinda what the vols did this year at least in scoring points. I assume that losing so many on defense will be pretty bad for your defense. Believe me watching your team score is fun, but only when you know your defense will stop the other team at least 3 times a game.

is it being too optimistic to hope for a 9 win season?

...that would leave room for bama and oregon to beat us.

My heart says all eight.......but my billfold would say..Missouri, Auburn, Vandy, Kentucky, and possibly one of the other four. Let's face it I'm optimistic.
