Which is all of the teams eligible.

Texas is a huge national brand
Michigan is a huge national brand
Florida State is a huge national brand.

Maybe the only one that’s only “a very big national brand” instead of a huge national brand is Washington…and you’d be arguing that 12–1 Alabama should be in over them?
I dunno. I think last year, the committee did the right thing with TCU, and a blind man could see they were overmatched. so it's something. But as long as a committee is involved in the decision, there will be controversy.. Unavoidable. NFL doesn't use committee's and the matchups have a natural progression. I can't wait for the field to be expanded.

Expansion will be nice, but I am rather enjoying seeing my Bama and Georgia neighbors sweat it out. 12 teams won't give us this level of excitement.

The committee's responsibility is to put the 4 teams in with the best resume. Not who they personally opine would make the best match-ups or who will draw the biggest ratings.
Not exactly - it’s to select the four best teams. There’s a difference. FSU is not one of the four best teams. They had an argument when they had their Heisman caliber QB, but no more.

I didn't see enough to convince me FSU was a top 4 team. Brock Glenn was 8 for 21 with 55 passing yards. And -6 rushing yards. And they have no signature wins.
Agree---I wouldn't vote for FSU. No big wins and the ACC sux.

Auburn helped create this chaos by choking away a win over bama.

If uga gets in, somebody got paid to make that call. You cannot have a 1 loss non champion get in over a 1 loss conference champion or an udefeated conference champion.
Bama has gotten in twice without even winning the SEC west. That's why the whole thing is horse ****. It's just about the money.

I feel the committee will cave to the SEC and we'll see Bama. They should NOT be there and that will mean one school gets shafted.

If that happens, I hope whomever Bama plays completely dominates them. This Bama team is NOT the Bama team of the past. And I am tired of Saban's whining. He says the entire body of work should be considered - then fine:

- Texas Beat Bama ==> Texas Wins
- FSU dominated LSU
- Bama struggled with Auburn, Arkansas, Texas A&M, USF, Tennessee in the first half.

The CFP has triggered the demise of the PAC conference - would love nothing better than to see Washington win this year - what a statement to the college football world that would be - the forgotten and underappreciated conference winning the last one.

You don’t have to see anything. They won all their games. The knock on FSU isn’t because of their record but an injury…. That is the sole case Bama is making. Not that Bama is actually a better team at 12-1.

And stuff like an injured player being the difference will eventually come back to haunt the team that benefits from it.

Seeing clips of Kirby and Saban whining to try and plead a case just brightens my day. I hope the committee does the right thing and excludes them.
