This truly is tough. I think it's hard to keep an undefeated Power 5 champion out of the playoff, especially one that defeated two SEC teams, because what else could or should they have done "better?"

That being said, is there any scenario in which Alabama isn't one of the four best teams in the country? To that end, does anyone believe that Georgia also isn't one of the top four teams? At that point, though, why even have a regular season because I'd also say Ohio State is up there too.

I will add that all of the consternation about Texas having the head-to-head against Alabama wasn't there last year when Alabama was ahead of Tennessee with an identical record. If Texas hadn't looked so damn good against Okie State yesterday, I'd think slotting Alabama over the Longhorns would be super justifiable based on how Tennessee was treated in 2022.

Send UGA to the Cotton Bowl to play Texas
And Bammer to Sugar Bowl to play Oklahoma
UGA is most likely Orange Bowl bound (it takes the highest ranked remaining non-playoff SEC/Big Ten team this year)

If I was on committee, I would go with this list:

1. Texas
2. FSU
3. Washington
4. Alabama

Michigan played trash OOC and only two meaningful games all year (Ohio State and Penn State). B1G had the weakest OOC conference of any power 5 leagues. You can't even compare them with the other teams. At least ACC, Big12, and SEC powers all played each other.

That’s the best four teams IMO. But the committee is really after the best narrative - that’s how TCU got in last year Cincinnati the year before.

Can you please add New Mexico State as an option? I mean, they are a more dominant program than either Alabama or Georgia.

1. Washington
2. Michigan
3. FSU
4. Texas

Can't see FSU dropping out and if they drop behind Texas, then SEC schools would riot that it isn't far enough. Drop Michigan to number two to give them an easier matchup.

Is the yankee media trying to block the SEC from the playoffs to help improve Michigan's chances of winning a championship?

Paul is absolutely losing his mind over the thought of Bama being left out, and it's glorious. I just hope the committee has the balls to keep Bama out of it and Paul may actually have a stroke, seizure, heart attack and go full blown tourettes mode all at once
There's a reason why.... Florida state looks like a high school team

Once again, that means nothing when comparing a 13-0 P5 champ and a 1 loss P5 Champ. If Jordan Travis is not hurt, no one brings up SoS between a 13-0 P5 champ and a 12-1 P5 Champ

SOS is literally listed as part of the criteria, no way anyone can say FSU at their current state is a top 4 team.. Jordan Travis injury is being mentioned a lot because its relevant.

We'll find out soon enough
