1. Rex Grossman will not last the season as the starting QB in Chicago.
2. Lane Kiffin will prove to be a sound, intelligent hire by the Raiders.
3. Carolina is going to continue their descent.
4. The Steelers will miss Bill Cowher far more than they'd lead people to believe.
5. The NFC West will be by far the most improved division in football.
6. The NFC North will be a disgrace to professional football.
7. Norv Turner and Wade Phillips will prove why retread coaches aren't a good idea.
8. Vernon Davis will emerge as the best TE in the NFL.
9. Stephen Jackson will rush for 1,800 yards.
10. New England will rout Seattle in the Super Bowl.

Can't say that I disagree with a single prediction there. I'm especially high on Davis and New England, though.

1.The Colts will miss June, Glenn, McFarland, and Harper and will go out in 2nd round.
2.Mike Nolan will continue to revise the 49ers and they will make the playoffs with the addition of Nate Clements.
3.Eric Mangini will continue to help the Jets as they will continue off of last seasons success.
4.The Saints will be the most overrated team this year. They will still make the playoffs, but will not be a threat in the NFC.
5.Norv Turner will struggle with the Chargers and they will have a sup-bar year (I would consider anything under 13 wins and an AFC championship sub-par)
6.Once again Donovan McNabb will have an injury prone season leading Philly fans to want him replaced.
7.Jon Kitna will have a monster season
8.Stephen Jackson and Travis Henry will both have huge seasons (I don't think Henrys that good of a runningback but he'll succeed with the system.
9.New England will win the super bowl

2,3,7, and 8 sure look pretty stupid right about now.

I agree with most of those.

BUT. Wade Phillips will have success in Dallas and I expect them to play the Pats in the Super Bowl.

I understand why Jerrah hired Wade (he wants to win and get all the credit which is not going to work), but the fact that Norv can keep getting shot after shot should encourage us all. There has never been a better case of being at the right place (Dallas) at the right time (after Minnesota was willing to give their left one for Herschel).

I highly doubt it. I don't think they got any better in the offseason. If Bill Parcells couldn't get them past the first round, Wade isn't getting them to the Super Bowl.

The Saint aren't overrated. They'll be dominant in the NFC. Travis Henry is better than any running back Denver has had in quite awhile, save Clinton Portis.

Losing Joe Horn will be a very tough obstacle for the Saints to overcome.

5. The Texans will win 8 games.
6. The Cardinals will make the playoffs.
7. Brady Quinn will start more than 11 games.
8. Daunte Culpepper will start more than 12 games in Oakland.

The last two years he hasn't been very productive. He's getting old and getting injured a lot, too. Devery Henderson, Terrance Copper, David Patten, and Marques Colston will do just fine. Meachem will help out, too. Reggie Bush can be a formidable receiver, as well. I don't think losing Horn will slow the offense down too much.

Agree with that. Hope Meach will make all the good folks in New Orleans say "Who dat Joe Horn?"

He always seemed like a pretty big leader.

I think that ship already sailed.

Coughlin has a chance though. only because the division. mcnabb will probably get hurt, no way can wade make the 'boys serious contenders, and well even though i'm 'skins fan, everyone knows they suck. if tiki did anything, he motivated eli. w/ burress, toomer, and i think moss will have a good year, not to mention shockey, manning has some weapons and coughlin can at least win the east.

2,3,4,7 are completely laughable. turner won't do anything to hurt the chargers, they just aren't going to be any better than last year. travis henry will have a good season, but nothing compared to stephen jackson's. honestly though, i guess the jets will "improve", but they still aren't going to be any good.

3. Herman Edwards will not make it through January as the Chiefs' head coach.

Maybe I'm missing something. He just took them to the playoffs and lost to the eventual World Champs. Now he's going to get fired in his second season? I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Chiefs miss the playoffs, but even with a losing record, I can't see Herm getting fired.

Since New England can't win it all because everyone expects them to win it all, I'm going to go with Baltimore, over someone from the LOADED NFCWest.

Falcons will be the worst team this year. They were completely built on Michael Vick, and suck without him. Lack of fan support won't help the cause.

Titans will be 7-9 or better. Somehow, some way, they will. (Unless Vince gets hurt really early, like third game or before).

Peyton and Friends will go 12-4, and then lose quick in the playoffs.

Saints will be fine. In what way could they possibly be worse than last year's squad? Joe Horn's not a horrible horrible loss, and the Duo of McCallister/Bush will get even better.

4. The Titans will not win more than 5 games..

I have come to expect the overwhelming disrespect sports fans across the nation feel regarding the Titans. 11 losses being heaped in a Fisher team's bucket is excessive though. He produces tough minded teams, and tough teams are not likely to fall that deep. VY should get more credit for his ability to produce as well. This team is in an upswing, not a downturn.

It's not that they're not tough, I (and I think I'm speaking for most of us) just think that the Titans don't have enough talent to be competitive in that division. I expect the Houstons to have some success, and finish 3rd in front of the Titans.

Bingo... that's their biggest problem.

Yes, you are indeed speaking for most. Most said the same last year. Most were praying to the heavens that the low talent Titans didn't squeak into the playoffs and appear on their wildcard. There is also a wee bit more talent there now. All I'm saying is 11 losses is excessive.

And Tennessee can beat any team in their division. Will they...dunno.

If Pacman and David Givens were there and if the Titans had a solid #1 runningback that could take a season long beating and another good receiver then they could be a contender, but those are too many keys, they're a 6 win team. But in the next 2-3 years I expect them to get a lot better with gained experience. That's if they keep Jeff Fisher, he's the reason the Titans haven't been the laughing stock of the league the past 4 seasons.
