To be fair 3 and 4 was one game, and the Steelers were playing the Browns, so don't get too down
i did start off by saying..."long way to go, but..."...so duly noted.

but it was a good way to start the season........

No kidding... as much as I would like to think so as a Vols football fan, the 2005 season really wasn't that long ago.

3 doesn't look so bad after the Texans got done in Charlotte.
yep, the Carolina Jekyll and Hydes made their official appearance in Bank of America Stadium Sunday.

3rd straight home opening loss i believe.

really just have no idea of what to expect with this team. they lose at ATL this weekend, i won't be far away from saying they're done, regardless of what week it is.

#1 seems to be moving along on schedule. the bears offense is awful.
#2, though the record doesn't show it, yet, i don't think anyone can say that the raiders haven't improved, a little.
#3 we're putting it off just a few more weeks. too bad DeSean Foster can't run against the Falcons every week.
#4 so far....it's all sentimental. Go Steelers.
#5 i still agree, though they had opportunities yesterday to validate it and didn't. the rams are bad. the Niners are far better than the score indicated in the Steeler game yesterday.
#6 the packers are a pleasent surprise. eveyrone else is just mediocre or plain bad. the bears offense, again, is a joke.
#7 you are dead on about Norv. Wade Phillips is enjoying the benefits of coachinga bill parcells team.
#8. Sold. maybe not the best in the league, but what i saw yesterday in the Steeler game, he's definitely the real deal.
#9. this one is looking grimm.
#10. NE will rout dare i say, Dallas, in the super bowl?

1. Next game Brians in.
2. Young and motivated
4. Hard not to miss a coach as great as he
8. Is he a lot better than Witten?
10. P diddy will stop said rout by beating Pats-:whistling:

8. Is he a lot better than Witten?

Witten isn't the #1 TE in the league.

Gates
Gonzalez (though aging, and will be retired in 1-2 seasons)
Shockey
Witten
Winslow

Wnere Davis will fit in that list won't be known until January or later.

Really though that's why I don't like predictions. They are fun to debate over but at best they are educated guesses.

I agree, that's all they are is predictions but you've got some people on here that think their prediction or thoughts are better or more right than everyone else's...it's a bit annoying to me...

I agree. I mean how many times does someone who knows nothing about sports win a NCAA bracket?

Note: Don't put stock into anything StunnA N' Orange says.:)

The Saints have played two games so far (I still believe their offense will come around). While the Packers defense looks better than I expected. If Brett and the defense continues to play well, I'll happily eat a large plate of crow.

Can't get much worse...

And, I don't think anyone even their head coach expected this from the Pack...

Witten is better than Shockey IMO

Shockey averages around 52.3 yards per game, and 1 TD per every 2.86 games.

Witten averages around 45.1 ypg, and 1 TD per every 4.5 games.

But you could make 2 arguments for Witten: 1) He's looked WAY better than Shockey so far this season and 2) Witten was underutilized throughout his first 3-4 years.
