That'd either mean you're season has gone bad or ours has gone extremely well...

As things are now I don't imagine Tennessee at 32 being favored over #16.

I don't think that's necessarily where each team will be in January, and Vegas may not see us as the underdog. I know that TBA is a tough place to play.

If we had won the NIT I think we would have been top 25. That loss in the NIT hurt us. We won't be over looked any longer though after our pre season tournament

Exactly. Hard for voters to justify us in the top 25 with that loss when other teams moved on...

As I've been saying, we start 4-0 and we likely will be in the top 15 and one of the hotter names in the country.

How is Nc state projected to do? I think we can win that tournament IMO

I think Memphis will be pretty good. I expect Adonis to have a great year. Cane will Tarik Black be playing Center or the 4?

We essentially run 2 4's at any given time, and sometimes a only one post player. Black will guard opposing 5's, while Ferro Hall and Shaq Goodwin share time as the "other 4". Stan Simpson has been named our "most improved" player since last year and he will most likely sub for Black.

Memphis will be very deep at the post this season (barring injuries), something that can't be said for the last 3 seasons.

If the Vols can beat NC State in PR, then you deserve every bit of a top 15 ranking.

NC State is going to be loaded and Gottfried is very underrated as a coach. NC State should win the ACC and has every reason to make a Final Four run.

I will be intrested in the development of Shaq Goodwin. I hope the young man keeps his head on right and into basketball. I was at Midnight Madness and I think with the help of Frank Matrisciano this guy can turn into a solid player.

I'm optimistic on Shaq from his early practice reports. Pastner keeps a hustle stat (conglomoration of off rebounding, pass breakups, 50/50 balls, etc.) and Shaq has consistently placed in the top 3 or 4 on the team. If anything, that means he's putting forth good effort.

We haven't had an athletic big man who is genuinely dedicated to rebounding since Joey Dorsey, and Dorsey was a few inches shorter than Shaq.

They've been picked by coaches to win the conference this year.

I pretty much agree with MC. I expect both teams to have a good season. Unless UT doesn't have great start, I would expect it to be a pretty even matchup.
