Very good speech. Perhaps one of the best he made while in office.
I thought it was positive and upbeat. Very classy in his well wishes to Obama.
He made a comment about some decisions he had to make, that weren't popular. Saying he hoped he would get credit for making the decisions. Now that they are getting Obama clued in on the state secrets. He has even stated, "I realize now, that President Bush had some very tough decisions to make."
I think as time goes on. History will give Bush credit for them too.
I enjoyed it and I thought it was one of his best speeches. I'm in the minority when I say I still support the President and still admire and respect him and his service. Not too many politicians would stand by their decisions when their popularity took extreme hits like he did. I won't lie, I am a Republican but that isn't why I supported George Bush. Anyways I would like to say good luck and God Speed Mr. President, you've earned your retirement.
I am sure he will be vindicated in the future for his decisions.
I think he's Jack Chick posting incognito.Tell me again why I bother with theses political threads. Joe, you most certainably are the absolute negavol equivelant. If it aint up your alley you are stoked. Get your bible and thump it some more please. opcorn: Like I or anyone else gives a shite what you think. Damn your games are old dude. Nite
remnd me please of a weak president who spent his final days beating himself up about his presidency. They all do what Bush is doing today. It's legacy building and it's worthless. History will be the arbiter.I enjoyed it and I thought it was one of his best speeches. I'm in the minority when I say I still support the President and still admire and respect him and his service. thanks for the clarification....just making sure
If W had spoken more freely over the past 4 years we might not have BHO as President Select
that's silly. It wouldn't have changed a single thing and he would have been playing into the hands of the idiots. Obama will be wise to do the same.that was the main problem with Bush. he never responded to any of the daily hatchet jobs the media printed. if they would have done that i think his approval ratings would have been higher. i was a good leader but couldn't communicate.
