Beyond me. I actually support a flat tax with no exemptions. Not for mansions, yachts, private jets, tin huts, nothing.

But tell us what YOU think is a fair percentage.

Gladly. Flat tax supporter as well. I liked Herman Cain‘s suggested 9-9-9 proposal a few years back. 9% each from federal, state, and local

Better yet, give to KARM, The Love Kitchen, Fish Pantry, or your church food bank. These organizations are set up to feed the poor and homeless. Most often the people at the exits are scamming you. They're perfectly healthy, clearly not malnourished and usually walk back to their car to jump in and drive home with winnings for that day.

It’s been many years ago. I was in Columbus, GA for work. Went into a gas station where I was filling up my rental car before heading back to the ATL airport.

Some bum asked me for money on the way in. I asked him what he wanted, said I’d buy him what he wanted so long as it was in the convenience store. They had your regular fare, hot dogs and what not.

He finally said, man I’m just looking for some beer money. I ended up purchasing him whatever 40 it was he was looking for. 🤣
