President Donald Trump - J.D. Vance Administration

Should Trump pardon or commute sentences of those caught on video engaged in violence against police officers ?

Violence against law enforcement should not be pardoned unless LEO were acting outside their duties and those committing acts of violence were lawfully defending themselves at the time. Former President Biden's preemptive pardon of LEOs from Jan 6 raises a concern about the behavior of at least some of those officers

The government also has a duty and an obligation to disclose any and all evidence that "might* exonerate the accused. The Jan 6 committee has been given pardons. It may be reasonably concluded that those pardons related to the criminal misconduct of committee members involved in the destruction of evidence which might exonerate some Jan 6 defendants.

The actions of the Jan 6 Committee necessitated the pardon of Jan 6 defendants. The Gov. would have been smoked in court for destruction of evidence, especially if any of the destroyed evidence had already been provided to any of the defendants and, once disclosed, destroyed the government's narrative.

For instance, those pardoned LEOs? How many were "co-conspirators" who allowed access to the Capitol or incited the riots while "undercover?" We will never know, but we will also never be able to view the destroyed videos that may have demonstrated lack of "guilt" on behalf of some of the defendants.

To be clear: Violent offenders from Jan 6 deserve to be, and remain, locked up.

To be equally clear: The actions of the Jan 6 Committee, in conjunction with Biden's ill-conceived pardons, makes the continued incarceration of those offenders untenable in our system of justice.

The January 6 committee isn't the prosecuting entity. Your criticism of the committee is irrelevant to the criminal cases.

There are people who stormed the Capitol and attacked officers. Its in video. It cannot be disputed. And he is commuting their se tences or pardoning them.

It's really pretty unforgiveable. Anyone who values our system of ordered liberty should be appalled.

Salivating? Get a grip.

And yes I will continue to "question" anyone who makes fun of Musk's social communication. He literally has a medical condition that interferes with that.

All that being said, Musk did nothing today but make a gesture in thanks -- of his heart going out to the people in attendance. He even said that at the same time. Oh, and then your loony deranged ilk went berserk and tried to make it something it wasn't.

I understand that you have an agenda with me as a "moderator." You have demonstrated it plenty of times. Maybe go find a cry group to help you deal with it.
It's awful for him to disparage Musk. That you're giddy about an incoming President who has done the same, is just as awful. Those two things can be absolutely true at the same time?

Cry about it ? You wasted 3 paragraphs crying about Luther's post. You're a hoot
