True, but the President doesn't have that power, but I don't remember hearing Trump saying that... but I don't keep up with everything he says. 😂 You might as well use the assets if you can... better than doing what they're doing now.

I find it odd that your issue with the story is that these agencies are still in this country. The bigger issue is why are these illegal alien criminals they are arresting still in this country?

Government's core responsibility is protecting the rights and security of citizenry; everything else is fluff until that is done.
Whatever objections I may have about these agencies existence, I objectively approve of them being used in this manner, at this time.

Who said I didn't have an issue with that? You know it's entirely possible to address one item without having to address all others you may feel are important

My point was using the atf or dea as immigration enforcement seems odd. Especially true since many on the right wanted them gone but now celebrate their existence

It would seem odd until you consider the magnitude of where we are at right now.

My point is I’m not really in favor of these agencies either. But when I read a story like that my first reaction isn’t “These agencies shouldn’t even be here!!”. My first reaction is “These illegal aliens shouldn’t even be here!!”


But that’s just me.

Why would they?

IF the assets can do some good than good. It's not complex. I seriously doubt anyone's opinion as to these agencies and the federal government is going to change overnight.... that doesn't mean you let them work from home. Put them to work on something useful, get rid of the bad apples, see if others will do the job, etc.

The atf and dea are more dangerous to our rights than the vast majority of illegals in this country. This desire to "send them all back" will inevitably violate the rights of American citizens. I'm not ok with that but it seems some are

I’m certainly not. I hate how big and bloated our Federal government is. But what I hate more is the previous administration allowed a full blown invasion at our southern border. This wasn’t just irresponsible, it was treasonous. You would have to absolutely hate your country to not only allow this to happen, but to encourage it.

I want to see Trump use the FULL unrelenting power of the Federal Govt. Anyone and everyone that can assist. We need to get these violent criminals out. Now!!!

The guy's been in office 3 days; might give a hot minute to see what's done with these and multiple agencies.
It's illogical to stamp feet over it at the moment.

If they were described as assisting in the arrest of violent or otherwise dangerous people then I might agree. Suit up and take them down. However the tweet brought to the board said "they're all going back" which indicates they should be used to round up any and all (which will undoubtedly lead to rights violations). Using the atf and dea to round up field workers is a compete misuse. If that's all they're good for then maybe they need another line of work. Their current one is not needed

Inevitably with government, eventually Rights are infringed on.... whether on purpose by bad actors, by accident, with disagree with Law.... we as Americans should help monitor and assist when the overreach happens.

If you want 100% guarantee that the government won't infringe on your God given Rights, get rid of government. The issue in the current context is... the present government is doing much greater evil than King George could ever come up with.

Maybe Trump will turn this around, I lost my bet on him already so... I'll probably stay out of a bet on him truly turning this around.
