Well, this is a good case for looking at redlining and white flight. In the time of the interstate, a lot of these communities were black. Now, they were also poor, but again...look up redlining and white flight.

Absolutely not a bad thing. I am in favor of any and all private individuals/service organizations/churches/etc creating a foundation to send condoms to Africa, Deer Creek, Mississippi or anywhere else they deem it necessary.

I am absolutely opposed to the Federal Government of the United States doing it with taxpayer money. Now, if the government seizes assets of despots in Africa and, there are no other impediments, I might not have a problem with that, but only after taxpayers have been made whole for the funds previously sent to Africa.

Yes. Any entity that folds or is damaged significantly with a week or two of funding delays was most likely on very shaky ground to begin with and consideration should be given to whether it was fulfilling its covenants typically associated with grants/etc to begin with.

Correction: seems it was a ninety-day hold. The judge's order was a week or something, right? Yeah, some are going to be hurt, but overall I believe people will look at things and think the overall greater good is worth the squeeze.
