Ha ha. How about competent international trade negotiations that allows us to sell our products to whom they were intended to be sold? What? How much have you had to drink?
What do you think needs to be proposed to ramp up the farming industry?
No. I readily admit tha I am not. I am willing to learn, however.Local retailers in some instances for lower volume products. International for higher volume products. Are you remotely aware of what happened with those products in Trump's first term?
Trump's so called mandate to China was so outrageous, they decide to buy their high volume farm products elsewhere. Billions were paid to farmers right out of our $$$$$. In case you don't know it, that's a recipe for inflation. We were also suffering from imports of steel in our automotive industry as the other side of the bush league negotiations. Long before COVID, we had automotive employees in furlough, getting paid as usual. Paid by government handouts, because of Trump's incompetent trade negotiationsNo. I readily admit tha I am not. I am willing to learn, however.
I would have thought “local produce” meant more for “local market”, like mom & pop tomato and onion stands or pickled okra and honey sold on the side of the road, or Market Square in a Saturday morning.
I think of higher volume more as mass produced “commercial” operations.
I wasn’t challenging you, I was seeking to understand, so I thank you for you response.
I am, also, interested in what happened in Trump’s first term, if you are willing to help educate me.
TIA,
RW
