Trump's so called mandate to China was so outrageous, they decide to buy their high volume farm products elsewhere. Billions were paid to farmers right out of our $$$$$. In case you don't know it, that's a recipe for inflation. We were also suffering from imports of steel in our automotive industry as the other side of the bush league negotiations. Long before COVID, we had automotive employees in furlough, getting paid as usual. Paid by government handouts, because of Trump's incompetent trade negotiations

Fair enough. I can appreciate that response. I admit that, while I understand broad economic theory, I don’t get into the weeds with it.

It sounds more like you are talking commercial agriculture efforts than the mom & pop operation I thought you were talking about, but if I understand your point, you contend that ineffective trade negotiations led to taxpayer-paid subsidies for American industries to keep them solvent.

I admit to not knowing enough about the details of our trade to engage much more than that; all I remember re: trade is that Trump made the Chinese agree to a trade deal in Fall 2019 and we were hit with COVID about 3 months later.

Spiteful politics is unsuccessful politics. We are just alienating one another even further. It doesn’t take much imagination to see if Democrats want to retaliate if/when they regain power they will force churches to pay taxes, strict gun laws, pushing universal healthcare, etc… does nobody else see where this is headed? Again, governing out of spite is not a successful strategy.

I use to buy the 60 pack eggs at Walmart for $4.98 and the last time I was at Walmart they were like $26 bucks.

Been buying eggs from a local small farm that I found on marketplace for $ 3.00 a dozen.

There's been mass culling of chickens for "Bird flu (yawn) for months now. Then you get weird crap like this from a few weeks ago.

I was at the local Publix a couple weekends ago on a Sunday morning and they were completely out of eggs and chicken breasts. Never seen anything like it. Got some chicken yesterday though. There are forces out there f'ing with the chickens and I'm not a fan. Egg prices can't come down until theres more chickens of course. Weird.

If it is a church worth a dern, they give more than they’d pay.

Taxing a church can not ever, ever, be separated from “making a law, respecting the establishment of” a religion. Amendment 1.

The only time they should pay taxes is when they make the initial purchase and it should be the same for everyone else. Having someone assess my property value every year for what they deem it’s worth is such a scam. Same with automobiles.
