Did you read the articles? Biden closed off over 600,000 acres of drilling. Trump opened them back up. Apparently you question whether Trumps reversing the ban will create more drilling. There has been thousands of acres available, there just isn't any motivation to drill
Ok , revisit 12 months from now and tell the world how many new well have been opened. You will find out the pace of new wells hasn't changedDid you read the articles? Biden closed off over 600,000 acres of drilling. Trump opened them back up. Apparently you question whether Trumps reversing the ban will create more drilling.
And the lack of "motivation" was Biden putting the kabosh on oil leases, even though they were there.

But again, you seem to be questioning whether reversing the ban on ~ 625,000,000 acres (and having a president that ran on a policy of increasing drilling) will increase drilling.
"There have been lots of leases already"... that Biden defied Congress about and refused to sell. And that means that oil companies don't want to drill.Your premise is nonsense, per usual.
Texas alone:

So now you are concerned with the “pace” of drilling, not whether there is any desire to drill. Nice subtle shift from your otherwise untenable position.
Why else might the pace not change? Maybe because they are already drilling at or near capacity?
Edit: sorry, crush, I quoted the wrong post. I deleted yours, was responding the the tool.
