Its PR, meaning every country is on the dollar whether they want to be or not. Now, if we move onto reset that would be a different story but at that point you won't be worried about this... you'll be worried about where your next meal comes from. There is no alternative or backup system. Even North Korea functions as a result of the federal reserve system although they are not directly tied to it.

Every country already trades in all kinds of currencies, but at the end of the day there is a U.S. dollar equivalent more or less linked to it. The issue the U.S. has is they are using the federal reserve system as a weapon against individual countries, I have no idea why the U.S. would want to force reset. If China completely separates from the federal reserve system or the U.S. cuts them off... your ATM would probably stop working within a day i.e. reset.

This is basically meaningless at scale, and actually seem counter to what the U.S. government is doing to Russia, and a few other countries.

We have had issues getting supplies and parts since the beginning of covid, literally plastic.... no supplies, no dates for supplies, etc. 😂

If China moved away from the federal reserve system, it would be instant collapse and a bunch of Americans would have to be liquidated in addition to a good portion of the globe.

If China disengaged from the federal reserve system, which I think is what they are saying.... the U.S. would financially collapse overnight. The 100% tariff would be meaningless at that point. The U.S. has been getting lots of free lunches since the time of Bretton Woods II. China would love to abandon the U.S. dollar but first would come the reset, then after the reset comes the liquidation of the unfunded liabilities.... in this case the walking kind.

Yeah, minor bumps. But face it, the Brics nations aren't going to drop the dollar. China's economy would collapse within a month and they control that organization.

China is not part of the Federal Reserve system unless you count all of the billions lent to them by the World Bank which is backed by the federal reserve.

Everyone is, either directly or indirectly, even North Korea. The U.S. dollar is just symbolism, been that way before I would gather most on this forum were born. Its fiction, a figment of everyone's imagination.... Santa Claus is more real. The U.S. Treasury is about as in charge as Biden is.

yeah, annexation of Canada has not gone over very well in the past.

best case scenario would be one of their provinces leaving Canada, and then asking to join the US. a couple years ago one of the western provinces tried something before they got shut down.
