Lol. In the case of war what is the US going to do if the Russians hack us? Bomb them? We would already be doing that. Sanction them? Already doing it. Launch our own cyber attacks, we would already be doing that.

At the worst he gave Putin a list of our most important institutes. And at best, if he was playing some 4D chess and really that list is BS, he just put a dangerous target on certain American institutions.

This could be the reasoning for the odd timing of the NYT article. Maybe the DNC or someone in that group is looking ahead at midterms at wondering how they might be able to salvage themselves and use Joe as the scapegoat. Or, if this builds up enough and they see that the GOP might take back control of Congress, that likely leads to impeachment proceedings... they'll likely go to Joe before November and ask him to step aside for the good of the party.

They were always going to wait until Jan 2023 before even considering removing Joe so Harris (or her replacement) had the opportunity at 10 years in office.

Her "replacement" is one of the wrinkles in that plan. I'm not sure how they easily get her out of the way and I'm not sure who the next person in line would be. Buttigieg?

Pete isn't a smart move either. He has no real credentials to go on, and the people who would likely vote for him are already the ones enamored with the weird genders and woke theories. The rest of the population would see him as a joke - look no further than his popularity right here on VN. We tend to fall into a pattern, but that doesn't mean we are some aberrant isolated group here. Pete is either ahead of his time or just is a never will be depending on how people change.
