No. At this point, Monopoly money is probably valued higher than the Argentine peso. Currently, the official conversion rate of the Argentine peso is 0.9 cents. That's right. 9/10 of a penny. However, articles that I've read over the last couple of years indicate that the street rate of conversion (due to official limits on conversions to U.S. dollars) have generally run about 1/3 of the official conversion rate, so you'd be looking at roughly 0.3 cents for an Argentine peso.
Back in 2001 and 2002, I took a number of trips to Buenos Aires on business. My first trip was in late 2001 before the first of many Argentine defaults on their IMF debt. Up until early 2002, the Argentine peso was pegged to parity with the U.S. dollar. They defaulted on their IMF debt for the first time in early 2002. When I returned to Buenos Aires 3 weeks after their default, the Argentine peso was worth 27 cents. Now, 20 years later, it's at 0.9 cents officially.
