Wow... I don't even know what you call this. I can't find the words. Not arrogance and insulting. Wow...

So glad the idiot in chief has acted as a uniter and not a divider.

DHS bulletin warns of 'heightened threat environment,' violent months ahead

The bulletin listed potential targets to include "public gatherings, faith-based institutions, schools, racial and religious minorities, government facilities and personnel, U.S. critical infrastructure, the media, and perceived ideological opponents.”

Hopefully, this will not come true but if so .... it's done only in the Democratic controlled blue cities & states that's ruled by radical lunatics that love to chant "Defund the Police" and "No cash Bail" those cities should worry the most. Maybe they can get Kamala Harris to make a surprise visit or two to encourage the radical left to burn it all down bc she & Joe will bail them out & reward bad behavior w/no questions asked .... all done w/her cackling & smoking a blunt.

I thought Biden and Co were the party of the people, they were going to close the pay gap between CEO and worker?

CEO-worker pay gap jumps in 2021 at low-wage U.S. companies

The pay gap between workers and CEOs at 300 publicly listed U.S. companies with the lowest median wage jumped in 2021, a study from the Institute for Policy Studies Home - Institute for Policy Studies (IPS) showed on Tuesday.

The average gap was 670 to 1, up from 604 to 1 in the prior year, while 49 companies had ratios above 1,000 to 1, the study showed. Average CEO pay in the group climbed $2.5 million to $10.6 million, while median worker pay rose $3,556 to $23,968.

I wanted to get so fired up about this only to be disappointed. They are comparing median pay, across all employees, and they chose to pick a ton of companies in the food/fast food, and "mall" stores where a significant number of employees are part time. Yes there's too many CEO's getting ridiculous pay for how little they are differentiated from anybody else in a management role, but this was a hatchet job that probably gives more support to the CEO with their board than damage.

I know he's already moved on to more stupid shizz today but can anyone explain WTH this Defense Production Act for solar is and how it's supposed to work?
We take magical money, that doesnt exist, and wont lead to inflation, send it out of the country for raw goods we dont have here, and wallah a few more non critical systems have EV back up. It's great. What's your hesitation?

beyond that I'm trying to understand the mechanics - are we simply guaranteeing some purchases or are we telling companies that make something else to start making solar and related products? (the latter is the typical use of DPA). given we have product shortages now what further shortages will be caused by redirecting resources at the behest of the government. If it's just companies already making this stuff weren't they already blowing and going?

zero details have been provided for what looks to be a ridiculous use of government power
