You arent allowed to question it. You just have to accept that they are DOING something about the problem. But like I said, dont ask questions about which problem they are fixing or how their fix actually works.beyond that I'm trying to understand the mechanics - are we simply guaranteeing some purchases or are we telling companies that make something else to start making solar and related products? (the latter is the typical use of DPA). given we have product shortages now what further shortages will be caused by redirecting resources at the behest of the government. If it's just companies already making this stuff weren't they already blowing and going?
zero details have been provided for what looks to be a ridiculous use of government power

The president is using the DPA to attempt to boost the production of things like insulation, heat pumps, transformers and electric power grid components. He's also suspending tariffs on solar panels for two years from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam — but not China. These moves come as energy prices have even outpaced rapid inflation — and after the Department of Commerce announced in March it is investigating whether imports of solar panels assembled in Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam are circumventing rules that limit imports from China.
Yeah, we dont want any stinking Chinese EVs. Unless it's from the countries we know are reselling Chinese EVs, then we want it.Found this interesting.

World wide respect of America, huh..?Brazil's President Bolsonaro raises DOUBTS that Biden won the 2020 election just two days before their meeting at the Summit of the Americas and praises Trump
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro raised doubs that President Joe Biden won the 2020 election two days before their first in-person meeting at the Summit of the Americas in Los Angeles.
Bolsonaro, nicknamed the 'Trump of the Tropics,' said in a television interview Tuesday that he is still suspicious of Biden's win, echoing complaints made by former President Donald Trump, who still falsely claims he was robbed a second term due to widespread voter fraud.
'The American people are the ones who talk about [election fraud,],' he said, according to Reuters. 'I will not discuss the sovereignty of another country. But Trump was doing really well.'
'We don't want that to happen in Brazil,' said Bolsonaro, who is on the ballot in October.
