I still think dems will pull some rabbits out of hats. I honestly think they will keep the gun control debate alive and hope for more shootings (as long as it's not a cop shooting a black guy) before the elections, and there will be other things. They want republican "obstructionism" on "hot topics" as defined by them and the MSM to marginalize congressional republicans and turn them into pariahs. Note how peaceful things have been on the riot front - none of the normal suspects out stirring up schiff. They'll play the "insurrection" at the capitol for all it's worth for as long as possible to make people on the right the domestic terrorists, and claim that was normal behavior for republican heathens. Remember how the TN/FL football games have gone for 20 years or so, and don't bet the ball won't likewise bounce their way around October and November.

I saw my aunt (by marriage) this weekend - she's 85 and a dyed in the wool dem - the yellow dog kind. I care too much to even discuss politics with her; she'll vote for whatever the dems put on the table, there are plenty more like her, and I don't have a clue why. She's intelligent, and has done very well financially. Makes no sense whatsoever, but that's how it is.

I don’t think are enough hot button issues they can pull out of their hats while people are struggling to feed their family.

"I have issued executive orders within the power of the presidency to be able to deal with everything having to do with guns, gun ownership… all of the things that are within my power. But what I don't want to do, and I'm not being facetious, I don't want to emulate Trump's abuse of the constitution and constitutional authority.”
