President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

I haven't tried to redefine it once.

I simply said that the fact someone says "probably" doesn't mean it is highly probable.

I saw something moving in the woods. it was probably Bigfoot.
What dictionary are you using?

almost certainly; as far as one knows or can tell.

insofar as seems reasonably true, factual, or to be expected : without much doubt

Yea she is trying to work thru the trauma..as a victim of abuse myself and those I have helped counsel it wasn't till I was 40 that I realized and accepted what happened to me wasn't appropriate. She was obviously abused somehow and by someone close to her.
Saddened to learn of your abuse as a child. I hope you've had full healing from it. Best wishes.

Try this on for size....
Dr looks at the growing dark mole on your back which has an irregular border. You ask do you think it is cancer. He says yes, but a) probably benign or b) probably malignant.

What does probably mean in this instance?

And what if the dr responded with possibly benign but probably malignant. What does that mean to you?

Greater than a 50% chance. (in most all cases)

So you agree that it's a high likelihood Biden inappropriately showered with his daughter?
No I do not.

I agree that Ashley's words were "probably inappropriate".

I agree that the definition of "probably" is more than likely, greater than 50% chance.

I will state for the 7th time that if someone says "I saw something moving in the woods, it was probably Bigfoot"
that that in no way means that there is actually a greater than 50% chance that the person actually saw Bigfoot.

But, hey, they used the word probably and we all agree what probably means.

It would be stupid to say "that was probably Big Foot". Not a good analogy. You wouldn't define a word by what a MAGA person would say, would you?

"Trump probably won the election"

Are denying that you inserted the word "not"? By doing that, you disputed her words.
Yes, I am denying that I inserted the word not into her quote.

No, I am not denying that I interpreted her words of "probably inappropriate" to mean "probably not inappropriate".

Good grief you guys can be tiresome.

Not sure of your point.

Someone could legitimately believe that they probably saw bigfoot. I would still believe that they probably did not.

"Trump probably won the election" is the perfect example of what I am saying. I wish I had thought of it myself...thanks!

Just because someone says that, even if they actually believe it to be true, in no way makes it true.

I probably saw bigfoot in the woods means you're an idiot or were drunk, there is zero chance that you saw bigfoot.

My dad showered with me and it was probably inappropriate means there is a high likelihood that it was inappropriate.

I'm changing my Bigfoot example (even though it is fantastic) to "Trump probably won the election."

How about, "I saw some lights in the sky, it was probably a UFO"?
