Hardly.
My oldest has gotten two promotions/raises in the past year.
My middle got her dream job in May.
My youngest is a freshman in college.
That's sad but let's try this:
How about an additional 3 weeks of vacation for a 0.2% decrease in pay?
I've nurtured as free thinkers. Which does seem to correlate with leftists more often than not.Congrats. I really mean that. No wonder you're full of delusion. Also when you were referring to family I was thinking more mature people in your age group. You point to your kids who you've nurtured as leftists.
I'm just trying to get you to acknowledge the obvious point. My life choices are sad to you? Why can't you accept them as legitimate as yours?
Where is this mythical job that would offer me full pay or 3 additional weeks off for just .2% less pay?
Your hypothetical is rapidly approaching my 0 work for 50% pay.
I'm just trying to get you to acknowledge the obvious point.
But it's beyond tiresome.
I'll leave it at this. Anyone who takes a vacation is sacrificing increased monetary wealth for quality of life.
Intolerant leftists?????the obvious point that money in wallet and quality of life are not perfectly correlated? no one has claimed that.
I disagree with your last comment - increased money could have more impact on quality of life than a week off in any number of circumstances from mundane to crucial. For example, that extra week of work may allow me to go to a concert a month that I otherwise could not afford. That extra week of work could pay for a tutor for my child to alleviate their daily stress from math. I could go on.
It's kinda like your reaction that my choice is "sad". You have a personal choice viewpoint but when you start applying to others with absolutes like the last sentence you come across as intolerant of anyone that makes a different choice than you.
I am much more concerned with quality of life than with how much money is in my wallet.
They are not as correlated as many of you claim.
If fact, for some of you I can guarantee that it is a negative correlation.
Would you work 2% less for a 1% reduction in pay?
It started with this post by me and the idiotic response from Vols13.Liar!

I stand by the post.....all the rest is unnecessary noise.
What do we have here? Someone else without a clue? What a doofus. This place is much more tolerable through the summer months, when Lu Zedong is out of school and rarely, if ever, posts. Apparently, the posited hypothetical falls squarely at the toes of his velcro buddies—he does minimal work for a 100% salary from August-May. Like every leftist, he lives off the back of taxpayers, who are literally paying this clown to stay on VN for hours each day. Today alone, he made 46 posts between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
