I just struggle with his logic.

Trump is bad, was bad, continues to be bad. The rape in India matters. But suddenly trump being bad matters only when he is president? And the world is somehow better just because he is no longer president. Even though his badness still exists.

not surprising - everyone (or almost everyone) can find something in there that benefits them and they don't (in some ways can't) know all that's in there and more importantly what the consequences of the bill are. the positive is visible; the negative is either buried or unknowable.

Biden signs bipartisan bill pro police bill for $139M.

Over a year after demonizing the police, calling for defunding the police, a lot of retirements, tough police recruitment, increases in crime everywhere and falling poll numbers. Money alone won't bring cops back to democrat cities if they are still targets of the left and bad government policy.

Republicans attacked President Biden's controversial pick for banks regulator Saule Omarova at her nomination hearing on Thursday, accusing her of planning to nationalize the U.S. banking system with her 'socialist manifesto.'

The Cornell University law professor, who grew up as a Young Communist and wrote a thesis on Karl Marx at Moscow State University, denied being a communist and walked back her claims she wants to bankrupt oil and gas companies to help climate change.

'I've never seen a more radical nominee to be a federal regulator,' said Senate Banking Committee Ranking Member Pat Toomey during his opening statement

They have focused on her early life in Kazakhstan, when it was part of the Soviet Union, before she immigrated to the U.S. in 1991.

It led to a moment when Republican Sen. John Kennedy demanded to know whether Omarova had ever resigned from the Young Communist she was forced to join as a young girl.

I'm not a communist,' she responded. 'I do not subscribe to that ideology. I could not choose where I was born. I did not, I do not remember joining any Facebook group that subscribes to that ideology.

If you believe the WHO, I guess that makes you the big dummy. That's a political not a scientific organization. Science is science; science is NOT defined by a political agenda. 1+1=2; it doesn't equal 3 in some parts of the world to make up for lack of development by misguided or tribally divided or other misaimed "civilizations".
