President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

How do you explain that North America was once a frozen Tundra and Antarctica was once a tropical paradise? Could it be that humans F'd up the world before, or maybe, that's just life?
The climate changes without human influence.
Human influence changes the climate.
There is no conflict between those two truths.

That is pure speculation. Scientists can't even accurately predict the weather next week. They sure as hell can't accurately determine if humans influence the climate. They can't prove what the climate would be like absent human existence.

This is what scientists do best - misrepresent theories as proven fact. Then, they simply change the answer years later when their supposed proven facts are proved to be wrong. Rinse and repeat.

We were supposed to be in an ice age, then the coastlines were supposed to be submerged, etc. etc. Now it's the nebulous "climate change" so they can have a choose-your-own-catastrophe adventure and claim whatever they want.

Some people believe that 7.8 billion people do not impact the environment despite what the preponderance of evidence and experts in the field say.
You do you. We are all free to draw our own conclusions, and to draw conclusions about the conclusions drawn by others.

Yes I do believe 7.8 billion people on this rock affects the environment and even has some impact on the climate. Are you suggesting a reduction in population?

Ok, this is something we agree on. How do we go about reducing the worlds population?
That's a pretty massive undertaking. Leading by example is always a good place to start, which historically we have done. I'm all for us being a world leader in that undertaking.

Ok, how do we start reducing the population of the USA?

I have a number of great ideas.
Making it more advantageous to delay parenthood until properly prepared to be a parent is the underlying principle of most of those great ideas.
A few are a little more extreme - at least at first glance.

How exactly are you going to achieve that? More abortions? That seems to be the preferred method of "birth control" amongst liberals.

Pay a person to get a five year implant and then give them a thousand dollars per year as long as the implant is intact.
We could negotiate the details.

Now when vasectomies become almost 100% reversible, the sky is the limit.

Let's hear them.

I agree with incentivizing the use of BC and delaying parenthood.
