Commerce Secretary’s Husband Is Top Executive at Tech Firm Funded by Chinese Government

Gina Raimondo has major financial stake in AI firm funded by Chinese venture capital firm

A venture capital firm backed by the Chinese government is a major investor in an artificial intelligence company that counts Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo's husband as a top executive, a potential conflict of interest as her agency works to counter China on the world stage.

Danhua Capital, based in California but established with the financial backing of the Chinese Communist Party, is one of the main funders of PathAI, an artificial intelligence firm that employs Raimondo's husband, Andy Moffit, as its chief people officer. Danhua Capital has been invested in PathAI since at least 2017, when it joined five other funders to contribute $11 million worth of seed funding for the artificial intelligence startup. It is unclear how much Danhua Capital has invested in PathAI, a private company, but the Chinese firm lists PathAI on its website as one of its featured "biotech and health" investments.

Biden has no plan to beat this Covid-19 virus. It was another lie that voters believed, dummies like luthervol. While the Covid-19 death toll numbers continues to rise under Lying Biden, workers & businesses are struggling because of Joe, Poopy Pants, Biden's policies ----- despite his promise to beat this virus when he was on the campaign trail for president without jeopardizing the economy. Lying Biden and the Democrats have done everything they can to squander the economic recovery that started under the Trump Admin.

Biden’s Broken Promises Show There is No Secret Plan to Fight COVID

Whatever Trump was for, this administration is for the opposite. Trump was for free market capitalism, reduced regulations, and lower taxes.

EXCLUSIVE: Trump aide Peter Navarro will REFUSE to appear before House COVID probe tomorrow and become the latest Trump loyalist to risk criminal contempt proceedings: Attacks Dems for sending 'jackboots' to serve his subpoena

  • Peter Navarro has written to the House COVID investigation saying he will not comply with a subpoena to appear on Wednesday at midday
  • 'Clearly, the game afoot here is to try to intimidate me,' he wrote in a letter sent to Rep. Jim Clyburn, chair of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis
  • He also attacked Clyburn for his role in helping President Biden win election
  • And he said he could not waive Trump's executive privilege and reveal their discussions or share White House documents
Former White House adviser Peter Navarro accused the House COVID-19 probe of trying to intimidate him as he announced on Tuesday evening he would not comply with a subpoena to appear for a deposition at midday on Wednesday.

It makes him the latest Trump loyalist to put himself on a collision course with Congress, risking criminal contempt proceedings.

In a scathing letter to the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Crisis, obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com, he attacked President Biden and accused the investigation of using him as a pawn in their 'witch hunt.'

And he said he was a man of 'modest means' who would not let Democrats in Congress drain him of cash.

Trump wanted the United States to be a leader and be the best in everything. I'm not sure this current administration gives a dam about the United States overall.

Ted Cruz offers Democrats a deal: Vote to reinstate sanctions on Nord Stream 2 pipeline that delivers gas from Russia to Europe and I'll stop blocking Biden's ambassador nominations

  • Sen. Ted Cruz's opposition has slowed the Biden administration's nominees for ambassador posts in the Senate
Sen. Ted Cruz said on Tuesday he had offered Democrats a deal to lift his block on President Joe Biden's nominees for ambassador postings if they allow a vote on reinstating sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline.

The Biden White House is lagging behind previous administrations in installing ambassadors, largely because of a go-slow by Republican senators.

Cruz and other critics want a return to Trump-era sanctions because they believe that the pipeline, which will carry natural gas from Russia to Germany, strengthens Vladimir Putin and could make Europe dependent on Moscow for energy.

Cruz told reporters he was ready to make a deal with Sen. Chuck Schumer, the Senate majority leader.

'I have an offer on the table,' he said, according to the Hill. 'It’s in Schumer’s hands.'

'This is a great question!' Psaki is left speechless (for once) when asked to name Biden's biggest foreign policy achievement

It was the sort of softball that White House press secretaries dream about: An easy, undemanding request to describe President Joe Biden's biggest foreign policy success of the year.

But when the year has included a humiliating retreat from Afghanistan, a defense deal that isolated key ally France, and Russian troops massing on the border with Ukraine, it must have seemed like a curveball.

'What does the administration consider your biggest achievement in foreign policy in this first year? And also what lessons have you learned from what is arguably the biggest failure which is Afghanistan,' she was asked by Patsy Widakuswara, a reporter from Voice of America.

'You know, this is a great question,' she said.

'I want to be thoughtful about it. I want to talk to the president about it.

Time to refresh the resume. "Things were going so well until a reporter sabotaged me by asking me to name a single positive achievement in the 1st year in office."

Fear not, they too will recover form the pandemic and it's mishandling.

Everything that goes up will come down eventually . Like when Regan took over and fixed the Dems economy. The only thing that matters is the amount of pain we have to endure until it does come back down .

So if gas goes up two bucks a gallon and drops a dime it's still up 1.90 a gallon. Epic Fail
That's their spin on everything. unemployment... health care... infrastructure.. let the costs go wild, and when they retreat, claim victory. And the low information CNN crowd will glow.

Public education has brought us to this point.

Not really true. During the Reagan administration personal household debt exploded and it has never come back down. Reagan's economic "success" was built on debt.....national and individual. It has spiraled down ever since. Yea Reagan.

I don't know what the proper response is but this administration has backed the US is a corner where the options are all bad. The world sees incompetence.
It just seems to me that the people that are saying "we look weak" need to be more clear on what their definition of "looking strong" is, because I fear "looking strong" will end up being some military action in a far flung place that is of no real strategic significance or benefit to the average American on Main Street USA.
