President Trump's Cabinet?

Yeah.........

Hmm, telling perhaps. My group of friends in college were high on personal integrity and wouldn't fathom cheating, let alone doing something as egregious as plagiarizing on a doctoral dissertation.

Not doubting you and your group of friends but it happens frequently in college.

And is much more an issue outside the US. For whatever reason universities in other countries don't frown as much on plagiarism as we do here.

I don't get why people would plagarize. It's just straight up dumb to me. I always oversited.

I took honors english my freshman year at UT. My prof refused to give me credit for the course because one of the papers I wrote he claimed that I plagiarized. It was absurd, because of any subject that I had written on, this one I could write in my sleep without needing to plagiarize - it was an argument in favor of the BCS system. I complained all the way up the tree to the department. He finally conceded that while the words may not have been stolen, it was an unoriginal thought and therefore equivalent to plagiarism. Of course he was the stereotypical liberal weenie and was probably irritated that I would write on something as boorish as football. Still pisses me off, hence my venting ITT

The English Dept at UT was full of leftist loonies.

No doubt. When I retook the class there was a student who had served in the Iraq invasion. The prof asked why he enlisted, and then proceeded to openly ridicule his reasoning. My previous prof was a liberal of the feeble, effeminate variety, this one was the long beard, hippy tee, suspenders and sandals kind. Again, complaints were made up to the department, but nothing happened. At that point I couldn't afford to drop the class...

Can we all at least agree that this guy Price should be withdrawn as nominee?
When Obama named his appointees, I didn't give a rat's ass who they were, or whether or not they were confirmed. I figured that since he won, he got to pick 'em. My thinking hasn't changed over the last 4 or 8 years.

It's not about his thinking. It's about his blatant abuse of his position in Congress to enrich himself illegally.

Trump ran on a platform of draining the swamp, of dismantling the rigged system in Congress. This guy bought shares in stock, then very shortly after proposed legislation to help that company. He has prior dealings with companies where he took advantage of his position to make dollars.

Possibly worse, it looks like he lied to the transition team about this. Trump's team put out an explanation of how it occurred, claiming that the broker directed this trading fund with no input from Price. That was TOTALLY FALSE. Price tried to dodge the issue by repeatedly saying the broker did it, but when cornered had to admit he personally told the broker to buy THAT stock.

Drain the swamp? How about starting with this guy.

I listened to some of that on the radio today, and I didn't hear him admit to directing a broker to buy that stock. He apparently owned several stocks in the medical field. Even if he did order the trade, all those sob's are probably guilty of insider trading or something similar. That is how they get rich in office.

Obama came in poor went out rich on 400K salary per year. Daughters have 12 million dollar trust funds. You put it in trust funds to avoid taxation, just sayin.:clapping:

On a positive note, Trump's EPA pick, Scott Pruitt admits that humans have an impact on climate change. See, they can move forward. Just recently Trump was proclaiming climate change was a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese. Baby steps..... Ten years ago 90% of conservatives denied climate change, now it's down to probably only 50%.

Good grief. Is it possible to hold a more feckless rationale in light of Prices bullshi**ery?

Tolerance of this kind of behavior is exactly what is wrong with Washington.
