President Trump's Cabinet?

He bought $100k in stock based on insider information only to see the value soar. And that's only what we know about.

What he did was unethical, and any attempt to justify it by pointing at other politicians as measuring sticks is just that, an attempt to justify it.

Drain the swamp? Pshh.

He bought the stock, or was the stock bought by Morgan Stanley for his account? Any link to the particular insider information, and the particular stocks? Dates of purchase and sale, purchased by whom, specific actions that he took to enrich himself ?

By the way, most stocks have soared in the last 7 years.

What's your point?

Again what he did was unethical, and any attempt to justify it by pointing at other politicians as measuring sticks is just that, an attempt to justify it.

The stock of HE purchased of Innate Immunotherapeutics based on a "tip" from Rep. Chris Collins (R-N.Y.) has seen a 400% gain in a year.

Collins was heard to by a number of reporters bragging about the number of millionaires he's created.

Steven Mnuchin, Treasury Nominee, Failed to Disclose $100 Million in Assets

....Steven T. Mnuchin, President-elect Donald J. Trump’s pick to be Treasury secretary, failed to disclose nearly $100 million of his assets on Senate Finance Committee disclosure documents and forgot to mention his role as a director of an investment fund located in a tax haven....

Probably just an honest mistake. I mean, who hasn't forgotten about $100 million investments?

Ever forgotten about your emergency $100 bill?

On a positive note, Trump's EPA pick, Scott Pruitt admits that humans have an impact on climate change. See, they can move forward. Just recently Trump was proclaiming climate change was a hoax perpetrated by the Chinese. Baby steps..... Ten years ago 90% of conservatives denied climate change, now it's down to probably only 50%.

You realize that the nominees are only answering questions that somewhat don't cause controversy. Once they are confirmed that hearing the stuff out the window in there and do exactly what Trump wants Which means a month from now they'll say the climate change is a hoax get it

Looks like Trump is adding to his Goldman cast, bringing the alumni total in the administration to six: Jim Donovan, a partner, is the front-runner to be Donald Trump’s pick for undersecretary of domestic finance

Government Sachs!!

I think there’s a question of fairness here. What about JPMorgan? or Deutsche Bank for that matter:Donald Trump has £245m conflict of interest with Deutsche Bank | The Independent

Yes profiles in courage every one:Rick Perry Regrets Call to Close Energy Department

...Mr. Perry also offered a full-throated reversal of his views on the science of human-caused climate change, which he called a “contrived, phony mess” in a 2010 book.

“I believe the climate is changing,”

Mnuchin says the entities in question weren't incorporated in the Cayman Islands. to avoid paying US taxes. Of course they were. That isn't illegal. That's why you set them up in the Caymans, and then you pay what the government says you owe based on where they are incorporated.

He has a net worth of $10 million because he is a doctor. The stock purchase was 26 shares for $104 a share. It is now $115. I don't know if he still owns it or not, but if so, he is up $276 in almost 3 years.

That is ignoring capital gains tax and Obamacare surtax. So really he was doing his part to help the ACA stay solvent.

Carson Approved

Via committee as did Elaine Chao and Wilbur Ross. However Senate Democrats are playing games by delaying Sessions' vote until next week and indefinitly putting a hold on the Energy and Interior votes. Also Tillerson made it out of committee and will be presented for a floor vote next week.

Didn't know where else to put this: FBI Director James Comey has been retained for the time being a law enforcement source confirmed to Fox News.

All show... The Dems don't have the votes to stop anything including the Supreme Court nominee

@TheEconomist This may sound surprising coming from me, but I agree with The Economist. Rex Tillerson has the potential to be an excellent Sec of State.

Elon Musk Tweet to The Economist regarding a pro-Tilerson article.

After these hearings, the only two I think definitely should not be approved are Devos and Price. Devos because she is clearly unqualified and unprepared, Price because of his ethics issues with these repeated stock trades in situations where he either has inside information or is set to act on legislation advantageous to them.
