President Trump's Cabinet?

Anybody noticed the little chips at Trump in the news lately that he has never been in the military? I forgot the exact context. Funny, though, that never seemed to be an issue for Clinton or Obama.

While I'm ok w Priebus for the fact he understands how Washington works, and could more efficiently push through Trump's agenda. Part of that is blowing up the establishment, and unfortunately I think Priebus will chock the WH staff full of Washington RNC toads.

Shows that Trump actually wants to get stuff done rather than placate Breitbart trolls.

Are you familiar with the inner workings of the White House? Or are you just assuming that a Washington insider is the only one that can get anything done?

I actually like the CoS selection a lot and think it will help Trump. Bannon did enough to help him get elected but I don't think he could help him lead in DC.

I trust his organizational management, which is arguably the most important quality for the CoS to have. However I don't want him beholden to any of the old guard losers like McConnell and Ryan. There's a reason Congress has such horrible approval ratings.

He's overseen the most successful period for the RNC in years, he's familiar with Washington, commands respect, and he was loyal to Trump throughout the entire process. Yes, he'll be more effective than a slob like Bannon as Chief of Staff.

Bannon will still be in Trump's ear in a big way. And he's undeniably good at branding and pushing a narrative.

The whole point of the Chief of Staff is to protect the President and to push his agenda in Congress. In order to do either a person must have connections in congress. Bannon will literally be the devil on Trump's shoulder. By bringing Bannon into the White House Trump started a power structure and influence fight between Reince Priebus and Bannon from the jump.

Priebus somehow managed to keep the GOP from imploding over the summer. I don't think there is enough credit given to him for being able to keep the party from (completely) fracturing after that nasty primary season. Sure the "Never Trump" movement was still alive and well even on election day, but as we saw, it's efforts won't even be worthy of a footnote in history.

I believe he will try to pull a middle road in keeping peace between the newfound movement of anti-establishment figures and the old "establishment" figures.
