Volgrad, contracts are typically signed until way down the road. I think Martin just signed his fairly recently.

I'm not saying that's the case with all coaches but it seems to be pretty typical. An MOU is most likely what you're referring to, but it isn't a contract.

You have to understand why everyone is a little skeptic. There were like 10 so called insiders saying Gruden then BOOM. While I think we have a legit shot at Strong. I am hesitant myself to believe anything until we see the actual presser.

Does one really need to be an "insider" right now to see that there's a good chance UT will offer the job to Strong this week? I can see that from local media reports.

Coaching Rumor thread "Daily Cliff's Notes." It is stickied to the top of the forum. There are plenty of quotes and links there. I don't know the OP of this thread, but it would be very easy to just follow the Cliff's Notes, draw a logical conclusion, post it here as a fact, and then thump your chest when it happens. My VN experience tells me that the true insiders generally don't start threads to draw everyone's attention to themselves and their information.

I understand the frustration, but the alternative is to trust message board posters.

Pretty sure I read on here that WBIR had Hubbs on during their news show, so they must find him credible.
