Any list of awful campuses that doesn't include Texas Tech is incomplete.

Colorado is as nice or nicer than all of those.

VCU has to be included there. University of Texas seemed a disaster to me too.

I didn't mind Texas at Austin. The campus of Texas Tech was the prettiest thing in Lubbock. However, I'd still rank TTU very low on my list. VCU is not only a dump to look at, it is in probably the worst/most dangerous place in Richmond. William & Mary is gorgeous, even better than U of Richmond.

I had W&M on my first list. I think it's better than UR.

Just didn't think much of UTA. My wife did grad school there and really loved the place, but the campus just did nothing for me.

Just noticed your W&M reference. Also noticed someone liked Clemson's campus. I spent a day there and thought it was a dump. The surrounding area was even worse.

As much as it pains me to say it the coolest campus I've ever been on was UNC-Chapel Hill. It had it all- beautiful buildings and views, a fabulous college vibe and the cute as a button coeds. I will now kill myself.

I don't like it either, but they have an incredible campus, especially compared to Duke's disjointed feeling spot.

Pepperdine is pretty only because of the coeds and the ocean view. the campus itself is pretty dull looking.

exactly. Duke's campus is very cool, but is way too out of place for the slums known as Durham. Also doesn't come close in the vibe or coed dept compared to it's rival neighbor.

Duke's campus seems to have no central theme or idea. Oddly placed architecture and buildings out of nowhere make it feel ridiculous. The business school is one of the most absurd looking buildings in college-dom.

Agreed, but Chapel Hill as a town is nice until the local populace open their mouths. It's Berkeley-East.

uh...hardly. Haul your cookies to some of the NE campuses and they'll make UNC look like Wheaton.

I've only been to Florida's and Kentucky's. Kentucky's is very confusing, and Florida's is nice and quiet. Of course I'm a bit biased.:p

couldn't be worse than UT's Humanities building compared to what the Hill looks like now.

This was back in 2001, but Chapel Hill passed an ordinance that forbid the Fire Department from displaying American flags or support for NYFD/NYPD.

I don't know if that has since been overturned, but it made me sick.

Joints like Williams, Wellesley, Tufts, Vassar, Smith, Bard, Hampshire, Amherst, Swarthmore etc. etc etc. The NE is loaded with them.
