Pride Not Invited to Inaugural Parade

I just don't care about the Pride. There, I said it. I'm glad we have a band that can play at games - and I'm glad it's there for students to enjoy being a part of if that's their thing - but man, I can't tell one apart from the other 😃

Unrealistic gif

Bowl is too full

Half would be given to those entitled to cheese puffs

If obama was in charge of College Football, Bama would have been required to give ND 3 of their touchdowns to even things out....

It's obvious you know precious little about college marching bands.

Not a big fan of New Jack Swing on the field? Nothing quite like hearing a college drum line play what I could play on a drum set when I was 12. They so gangsta.

Corker did lobby the selection committee; he was told that the POTSMB had participated "too many times" and that it was time for others bands from the state to get a turn.

The parade list does include some pretty good bands, but none of the really marketable college bands are attending. Florida A&M's band isn't going anywhere for a while; Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, and Florida State's bands are off the list too. With the exception of a few groups, the committee really lowballed this event. DB's band will easily be one of the largest and best sounding bands in the parade this time around.

The 1997 Inaugural Parade is one of my favorite memories of being in the Pride. I am saddened that the current members will not get to add their name to the history books and extend the run of the longest consecutive non-military band participation held by the POTSMB. I won't waste my time watching this event.

Welcome to "fairness." *Yawn* I think I'll celebrate by going to the gun range that day. :loco:

Honestly, aside from the drinking and spending of athletic department per diem on the trip, my inauguration with the POTSB was something to forget. Bush I, 1989. The main memory I have is developing an abiding hatred for Willard f-ing Scott. He said "highs of 55 with some periods of sun". I dressed appropriately. It barely made it out of the 20's, with wind speeds about as high as the temperature. It would have still been OK had we not had to stand still for a couple hours after the Secret Service stopped everything dead when a hot dog stand caught fire. I don't know if I've been that cold before or since. Willard f-ing Scott...

There is a lot of talk about flipping stuff on this board, Flipping this recruit or that recruit, now flipping a person's political party. etc. It seems that those who are so intent on flipping something. must work at McDonald's.
