Probably gonna get roasted for this, but.....

Tennessee quotes......never gets real.

REAL??? How is claiming NC's you NEVER EARNED real?
How is losing your conference title game and claiming a NC in the same season REAL? Is it a quote?
"15 National Quotes as us the Champions"(but not sec)

By the standard that bowling placed on the Bear's record, Neyland only managed 1 unblemished season. But that's not being totally fair, so I counted regular seasons only.

Sorry, just found it funny you giving General Robert Neyland "credit" for anything.

Carry on. I've got dishes to wash and painting to do.

The University of Tennessee claims two national titles that they did not earn, and no one of consequence awarded them.

You have a beef with Bama's 2011 title. I understand. But every single consensus selector awarded Alabama the title. So, if Alabama isn't the national champion in 2011, who is?

Who knows, but it would have most likely been LSU.
SEC is generally more dominant.

"no one"??
"no one never picked AU/OK" to embarrass the team with the best of everything and the easiest schedule last season.

Of course. Here comes the GrowVol trademark "My argument has quickly turned to crap, so here comes Auburn and Oklahoma" change of subject.

If we start winning, will it curb this nonsense? Probably not, but I can only hope!

How many Alabama football players does it take to change a light bulb?

Only one, but he gets three hours credit for each one.

You're the one that gave credence to "no one"...as in someone prominent in college football predictions, remember? Picked LSU?

My comment had nothing to do with predictions. When the final polls were taken following the 2011 season, no consensus selectors picked LSU as their national champions. So, why should LSU claim a title they weren't awarded?

You used the word 'all' earlier in your sentence making 'insights' incorrect.

'Insight' is the correct usage here.

Change your username.

Actually, no. As I am complementing his insights into various topics, "insights" is correct. "All of your insight" would be speaking in general terms, and does not indicate that I admire the great spectrum of his gifts.

I never said that LSU should claim 2011 NC.
Facts are: LSU won the SEC Championship.
So.....its ok for you to come on here and split hairs about whether or not Neyland shutout the most amount of games.....BUT..... its a whole nother animal when someone brings up BS National Championships that Bama claims.

The first couple of quotes in the opening post are interesting. It would be a lively debate on who was/is the better coach, The Bear or Saban. They are, in my opinion, two of the greatest college football coaches in the history of the game. Of course, I would rank Neyland up there too. But I just don't see how you can rate any of the three above the other two, considering it was really 3 distinct eras of football.

On a side note, I think it is best to not trash talk about Tennessee football until we start winning again. Yes, we have a rich tradition, but really, it looks bad when you have to say "oh ya, well, we used to be good. I mean, we had a season that we were unscored upon 7 or 8 decades ago." Our time is coming again, be patient.
