Mesa County District Attorney Dan Rubinstein launched a criminal investigation into the stolen ballots. The news comes almost a month after former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters was sentenced to nine years of incarceration for her role in breaching county voting equipment.

The secretary of state’s office said the ballots were intercepted before being received by the voters they were intended for and then later submitted fraudulently. They were mailed back to the clerk’s office, instead of being put in a drop box, which is under video surveillance.

Three ballots got through the system and have been counted as legitimate votes, but the others were stopped, according to the secretary of state’s office. The three victims of ballot theft will get another opportunity to cast a vote.

Secretary of State Jena Griswold said the fraud came to light through the state’s signature validation process. People also contacted the clerk’s office to say they’d received alerts that their ballots were being processed, despite never having received them.

BREAKING: Lancaster, Pennsylvania officials have BUSTED a large-scale fraudulent voter registration scheme that includes thousands of applications with the same handwriting, fake signatures, false addresses, etc

They discovered the same scheme in other Pennsylvania counties.

District Attorney Heather Adams revealed that the applications came from canvassers who were paid to obtain voter registrations, adding that "The majority of the applications were from residents in the city of Lancaster... The canvases themselves took place at various shopping centers, parking lots of grocery stores and businesses, sidewalks and parks."

"We are aware of at least two other counties that receive similar applications that are currently being investigated."

If you listen closely, the DA said the Clerk received the applications at or near the deadline to register to vote. That means the bad actors waited till the last minute so no one would notice. They would've used the fraudulent applications to commit mail-in ballot fraud without getting caught.

No way in Hell she wins NC. I live in Charlotte, a city which is 41% black (3x the national average) and has voted Dimwit for mayor and president for decades. You cant find a Harris sign or bumper sticker here. The rest of NC is far more consrvative. I would not be surprised if Trump wins Mecklenburg County (charlotte) for the 1st time in decades. You have to be really delusional to want 4 more years of garbage

I don’t know if this is true or not but it’s illogical that a non-citizen would be allowed to register meaning proof of citizenship and residency should’ve required to register in every state. That shouldn’t be controversial.

I used to live in NC. As I recall, a voter registration card or an id was required to vote. That document would be cross checked to a list of registered voters to ensure the name and address matched. It was a pretty good system when I used to live there.

My guess is UNCG was letting students know that a student ID is sufficient for the ID requirement. It is a state issued ID given it’s a state school.

Maybe next time I will go to vote with my SWA frequent flyer card I got 40 years ago and see how that works
