not true necessarily. Most the time its ruled incomplete if the ball leaves the receivers hands due to him bobbling it. A WR is allowed to move the ball in their hands/arms to reposition the ball to ensure they bring it in. This is what it seems the refs/review team inferred on this play, is that it was an adjustment by the player and that he was in control of the movement of the ball which again is within the realms of the rule for a completed catch. You can even do this after the foot inbounds has left the ground.Didn’t have control
I think it was one of those if it had been called no catch would have also stood. It was very close, after watching it several times it was very difficult to tell if it was a legimate catch. And without it being clear the play stood as called.Eh, at the very least it was really close. So we got a close call for a change. I am all for it.
