Pruitt has met with Freeze about OC position (Price)

Pipedream alert:

Harrison Bailey announces he is committing to Tennessee, reclassifying to 2019, and that Hugh Freeze is our OC.

Help a brother out here ... I keep hearing on podcasts about this "reclassifying." Someone tell me what that means ... please and thanks.

He has enough credits to where he could technically graduate in May. Due to that, he could reclassify to the ‘19 class and enroll at UT. If I’m right and that happens, he wouldn’t sign until ‘20 and would count towards the ‘20 class. But he could play in ‘19. It would be like what Jake Bentley did with SC.

If a guy is academically eligible then he can graduate high school a year early and start his college career a year earlier than the recruiting class he was first in.

I think Bailey can graduate HS early and go ahead and enroll at UT a year early but he stated today that he is not going to reclassify so the pipe dream is dead.

Freeze would be nice get. Kentucky,Vandy,Missouri,and South Carolina all lose a ton of Senior starters and Qb’s. I’ll take 4Sec wins next year. Xmas spirit is strong

If they met and Freeze didn't leave with a signed contract in his pocket, someone at some level failed. There are no other interviews needed if he's willing to take the job. If he's unwilling, just add 50k to his pay every time he says no until he says yes.

I almost laughed out loud at that!
Every other school thinks we cheat, just like we think everyone else does!
Those that worry about our reputation and standards make me laugh 😂

Well guys on TOS said it's still a possibility so wouldn't give up quite yet. Seemed like he just wanted the twitterverse to leave him alone about it.

SEC has already cleared Hugh Freeze to be hired...
I am sure Fulmer asked permission and got it...

Serious question because I really don't know the answer. If the SEC said we don't want you to hire Freeze and we did, what could the SEC do?

As I said the other day, if Freeze doesn’t come here, it’s because he chose someplace else. There is a ton of mutual interest. From what I am hearing, I believe we get it done.

Don't know the rules, and haven't heard it mentioned -- is there a requirement to interview minority candidates as part of the process? If so, that might prevent an immediate hire.
