Who cares if the guy is black/white/green/magenta? As long as he's Orange and gets the job done.

i don't understand why some people get so upset about this. even if cut had stayed, i still felt that our chances of landing the guy were slim.

I agree and I do not see him going to Duke either....Plus Pryor would not have started because this is the SEC....until 2 or 3 years....If cut had stayed he would have kept the same offense with Conservative by the books offense...Pryor's ability to step outside of it would have somewhat made a difference but not to Cut liking....

If you are referring to Banks, he was way more of an athlete playing QB. Pryor is an athletic QB. There is a big difference.

Jones was brought in for WR and to occasionally run QB in an option type attack. Schaeffer was not a good situation to begin with. The kid played in 4 different high schools. His 2 years at Ole Miss were the longest he had played for a single school. He definitely had issues. I've not heard about any of that with Pryor.

My only thought on Pryor now is that I hope he doesn't go to UF. Let him stay in the NE, I just don't want to have to play against him.

He has never been too high on them. It's hard to tell where he'll go. He has really started to like Oregon, but they just took a pretty good athletic QB. OSU has slipped but was thought to be a lock. He was very intrigued with WVU, but now RR is looking at Michigan. PSU has a very bland offense and he hasn't looked much at them. UF has Newton. We were in good position, until Cut left. Now it's pretty open, but I seriously doubt he goes to UF. Even if he does, it will just be a logjam at QB.

On a sidebar, Scout has Crompton running a 4.9 40, rivals a 4.8 40. Either one, he is slow. Consider that Foster ran a 4.52 40.

So why bring Crompton in for a running plays this year?

Didn't Tebow run a ~4.7?

Crompton won't kill anyone running the ball, but he's fast enough and a strong enough runner to make people respect him taking off and getting 5-7 yards.

Exactly, Ainge ran a 4.6 forty, and how mobile was he? Mobile and fast don't have to go together at the QB position.
