The kid is probably a low 3-star, but why does that matter. The staff felt he was worth a scholly, and the kids ol man PROBABLY made a generous donation to the university that none of us will ever know about.

Why does his offer list matter? UCLA is NOT the same program that it was when I was growing up. They have to reach for 3stars at times and hope they can coach them up.

And not that I remember. I do remember Stevie getting a scholarship, couldn't daddy have paid and used that scholly to add a player?

Also, West Virginia and Iowa both offered Combs a scholarship; two programs that have been head and shoulders above UCLA for the past decade. Maybe Combs was really pulling strings to get his kid to move to Morgantown...

Also Ayres got a scholarship and he walked on.

Pretty fail comparison since 1 is a kicker and two are actually from the west coast... And none of the have multi millionaire fathers.

So, a 3-star does not deserve a scholarship over a 2-star that is close by? That is just stupid.

Look, you are a socialist and are against merit-based rewards. Just admit it. You keep trying to argue that this kid has not merited his scholarship, but that is a claim that is completely unfounded; and, instead of giving the benefit of the doubt that this kid, who was offered by WVU, Iowa, UVA, and Illinois, earned his way, you choose to cling to the completely baseless notion that his father pulled strings as if Jim Mora, Jr. gives a **** about what Diddy thinks as he is trying to build a winning program (if he does not win at UCLA, no one will keep him around simply because he put lil' Diddy in gold and baby blue).
