Punting Woes

2 bad punts for sure but he's done well when you look at the full season. I'm still patiently awaiting a well-timed fake punt.
Pretty much this. I don't recall any significant punt returns prior to the UF game. Ross has been solid for the most part.

My gut says he’s done well over the season. Where’s the data?

How many total punts?
How many inside 20, 10
How many returned and for how many yards?

Got to be data out there somewhere.

He is gonna kick it 40-45 yards every single time. Really, that is not an issue.
There aren't any more Colquitts coming up any time soon.

We need a new punter. Florida would never have been in a position to tie the game if we didn’t kick a short line drive RIGHT to the returner in the 4th. We need to stop trying to be smarter than everyone else with this rugby style BS, or again, just don’t kick it right to the dude on a frozen rope.
This is a really incredibly short-sighted post, unless you’re with these guys 24/7 and know their capabilities and practice performances. Maybe you‘re some invisible special teams guru lurking in the shadows? Come on, man. Take a hard look at what you said and give the kid a break, unless of course, you’ve never made a mistake and could do better.

What the hell is wrong with you people today? This is almost as bad as the "Advisory Board" thread....

The dude had a bad punt, what about all the good ones? Does he get punts blocked? Learn to research data before making stupid threads

Thank you much! I’ve been looking for punting data. He’s had several inside the 10.

Im not blaming the return on him. Im blaming the whole offensive woes on him. He posted that he was bored on X and now all we have done is punt. It’s his fault we aren’t scoring 40+ points.

Yeah, he screwed that one and, I believe, one more up but I believe he’s nailed a lot of punts behind the 10-yard line. I think he’s a weapon for us 80-90 percent of the time.

Our punter is fine. Dumb thread
Really, career long

Just think an SEC punter should be able to at least have some hang time if you are only averaging a SEC worst of 45 yards. Sure he can pooch punt it, but if you are a directional punter maybe kick it another direction that right at guys on long punts.

I’m not going to single out the punter but our special teams weren’t good against Florida. That needs to be fixed.
They changed the whole way we operate on special teams around this punter. I guess everyone on this board is fine beating the worst FL team we’ve seen in years in OT and there should be no critiques.
