Were we supposed to vote for Trump to not fix the China problem or for Biden to not fix the China problem? Trump had 4 years. What was another 4 going to do? Was he gonna suddenly have a breakthrough idea? Were the rich, ruling, authoritarian elites in China going to acquiesce to the trade war despite feeling very little political or financial pressure?

One reason why tariffs are attractive politically is it's hard for people to see how the problem is hurting us. You're not supposed to notice unless you lose your job and your boss tells you what happened or if the news tells you what happened.

Is losing tens of thousands of jobs in the solar industry a "massive impact" because the trade war devastated that industry. Did Fox News not cover that one? Weird.

They are told to say what the government wants them to say, period. This guy wasn’t speaking off the cuff, because if he did then he’d go to get re-educated at one of those nice indoctrination camps they have there.

Because China plays games with this stuff. They put it out there through the universities, make the veiled threats, and then sometimes have them issue the retractions. It’s just how they do things.

For all you know that was the restaurant owner. People with failing businesses are capable of doing unspeakable things, up to and including torching their own sht.

Not saying that's what happened but there's a 100% chance the insurance company and the police will be having that conversation...

Whether it's QAnon, or other conspiracy theories, they aren't harmless. What about the dude in SoCal who tried to drive his train into the naval ship?

But I think we overestimate the impact of that negative aspect of CT's Yeah, he wrecked a train but luckily he didn't hurt anybody. The real problem is that we're using the internet, the arbiter of all truth known to man, to get dumber and to convince ourselves of things that can't be true (like 35k mole children being rescued from underneath Central Park).

A lot of the same people who don't trust the government and believe incredibly salacious things about the government want the government to increase speech regulations on the internet. You can't make this **** up.

I’m not a Q guy, but what I love the most is how the left wing as a whole openly embraces equally extreme conspiracy theories and the main stream media runs with it.

No one was ever banned, censored, nor had any content removed or fact checked for calling Kavanaugh a gang rapist, claiming trump gets pissed on by hookers, etc.
