QB competition..

lexyvol and kbvol, I know it's not my business but I think y'all need to tone it down a bit - slow your roll. We're all vol fans, including both of you. You can still debate this topic without trying to bite one another's heads off, score points, or insult one another. I like the different perspectives both of you bring as differing points of view bring healthy debate and give us all more to consider but their comes a point where it gets too bitter. Y'all can debate this without going there.

JMO. Feel free to ignore.

Tennessee fans have a long and distinguished history of not knowing what the hell we are talking about when it comes to the quarterback position. And then we sign petitions or call in to radio shows so that our ignorance is captured for eternity.

Let the boys play....

Nope. Guess you dont know what not being closed minded means. And no it wasn't all the receivers fault lol.

Dobbs might be pretty solid next yr. I dont care who plays as long as they show they can play. Dobbs is more talented than Worley IMO. Does that make me a Dobbs guy? Because I like his ability too. Instead it means that I can look at things in perspective and dont have to pick one side of the fence just for arguments sake. Like I said, I think Dobbs has more talent than Worley, but im fine with Worley starting if he shows he can make things happen.

I'm completely open minded. I was merely pointing out that fact that you had a favorite and sorta kind of tried to deny it all at the same time.

You should check replays of the games Dobbs played in. A good majority of the time he was hitting receivers in the numbers and they simply weren't catching the ball. Now, was he perfect every time he threw the ball, absolutely not, I'm not trying to claim that. I think there were a majority of fans that had blinders on when watching Dobbs play. Mostly people that I think wanted to see him fail rather than prosper. Simply put, to them if Dobbs didn't come out of the gate looking like Peyton and Cam Newton merged then he sucked, period. That was never going to happen.

i think it's highly possible that he starts. as i have stated many times before, butch knows what he has in Dobbs and now what he has around Dobbs. It's up to Worley to prove he can play just like it was up to Ferguson and Peterman.

and i know the rednecks aren't gonna like this, but Dobbs gets out there and plays ball. if worley does the same, all-around game, then he earns the start and/ or playing time. and i'm fine with that.

I think between the new recruits and returning, now sophomore players(as well as the other classes) we've increased our speed and abilities as a team in turn opening up what we can do with our QB's.

i def agree. whether it's worley or dobbs....or both. and the older some of these guys get, the better the VOLS are gonna be and the more we will celebrate. the ones that don't fit won't be around.

this is so correct and obvious. especially with the fans of a certain qb who is no longer a Vol. now it's, when it should've always been, "we should root for all that wear UT colors". really? shucks, never thought of it....lol
