'22 QB IN Tayven Jackson (Tennessee signee)

"Tayven Jackson has a nice all around game and is one of the most intriguing quarterbacks in the ’22 class. He has impressed us both days with his arm strength, quick release and ability to tuck and run when there’s nothing open down the field. We wouldn’t call him a dual-threat quarterback but more a pro-style guy who can move and he’s very comfortable throwing in or out of the pocket and from different arm angles. He has a frame that will easily pack on good weight when he gets to college and his upside is very high. He signed in December with Tennessee and will enroll later this month."

Was it @TrippieRedd saying he looked like Mahomes way before he committed? 👀

He just looks so athletic.

Constantly thinking about the 23 QB class makes me forget we have a potential diamond in this kid.

Read an article early by Todd Mcshay on how Mahomes made him change how he evaluates QBs...subpar "mechanics"...footwork...weird throwing angles...extends plays.

Not making that level of comparison, but TJ definitely has some of those traits. He could be better than expected if many are still looking at QBs through the old lens.

Think people are realizing robotic mechanics only work in perfect pocket but these days you got to be able to move around and be multiple

Would have liked to have seen Worley in an actual pro style or air raid type offense. We did that kid a disservice. Not that he was a future pro but he could have had a better college career if he didn’t get stuck with Butch
Leach would have set records with him.
