A pro-style quarterback blessed with a strong arm, Rozier, threw for 1,302 yards for Henry County, a struggling program that went 1-9 competing in Georgia’s biggest classification this past season. He ran much of the offense out of the shotgun formation.
Rozier dominated in baseball, going 10-0 with a 0.99 ERA. In 64 innings pitched, he struck out 127 batters.
Rozier reportedly gave a verbal commitment to play baseball for Clemson, before deciding to come to Chapel Hill. He received interest from Georgia, Tech and Mississippi State, but said several programs wouldn’t allow him to play two sports.
Walk-on QB Mike Rozier's father is the head coach at Henry County High School, a school stock piled with Div I talent every year.
That is the school that Markeith Ambles goes to and where 2009 WR Jamal Patterson (Stanford) went to. Connections like this never hurts in recruiting and hopefully will help sway Ambles to UT.
All reports are that Ambles had an awesome time at the A day game. His father said many times that they got the red carpet treatment. I read a report from a former NFL and now scout that he has hands like Reggie Wayne and he's cut out of the Andre Johnson mold. Not a bad comparison.
