QB Michael Rozier

He's planning on walking on and Hubbs says we are the leader. Part of the connection is, get this, Markeith Ambles' head coach is Rozier’s dad and head coach in high school. Hmmmm.... sounds like we may be in real good shape to land Ambles.

A pro-style quarterback blessed with a strong arm, Rozier, threw for 1,302 yards for Henry County, a struggling program that went 1-9 competing in Georgia’s biggest classification this past season. He ran much of the offense out of the shotgun formation.

Rozier dominated in baseball, going 10-0 with a 0.99 ERA. In 64 innings pitched, he struck out 127 batters.

Rozier reportedly gave a verbal commitment to play baseball for Clemson, before deciding to come to Chapel Hill. He received interest from Georgia, Tech and Mississippi State, but said several programs wouldn’t allow him to play two sports.

per scouts article from 2003...

Kelley Washington the QB! Or Chris Wenkie?

All I know is he has a strong arm. Depends on how quickly he can learn the offense and get into the system. And he will push the other guys.

It is just nice to have new blood at the QB position.

this is a really interesting pick up. I trust in the staff to have an eye for talent. I wouldn'tind him being a. Chris weinke type. He did afterall wiN the NC game

This is interesting.

Four years of work as a professional athlete shouldn't have hurt this guy's potential. This is a wild card.

Walk-on QB Mike Rozier's father is the head coach at Henry County High School, a school stock piled with Div I talent every year.

That is the school that Markeith Ambles goes to and where 2009 WR Jamal Patterson (Stanford) went to. Connections like this never hurts in recruiting and hopefully will help sway Ambles to UT.

All reports are that Ambles had an awesome time at the A day game. His father said many times that they got the red carpet treatment. I read a report from a former NFL and now scout that he has hands like Reggie Wayne and he's cut out of the Andre Johnson mold. Not a bad comparison.

how cool is this?

I think we got this guy more for recruiting purposes, with his father being Ambles high school coach.

I agree, there is no way Kiffin tells Boyd to get lost and then wants a walk on to lead us through the SEC, situation is laughable.

Some of you just can't get over Boyd. The walk ons are just exactly that, WALK ON. No scolly's wasted, no drama if they never make it above the bottom of the depth chart and no worries for future recruits who Kiffin actually does want.
